Though in no way a Foggy Bottom - Beltway "insider," I have been privy to conversations by those aquainted with Douglas Feith, and what I heard always disturbed me.

Mr. Feith, though all agreed, was an intellectually gifted individual. All also seemed concerned he had a personal agenda toward Israel, and earning a dollar, at the expense of his country.

Though second hand, I trust those in conversation with me, when they also mentioned Feith's habit of not taking the blame for issues gone astray, he was culpable for.

My point being: the Douglas Feith I knew of prior to the "smoking hole" of 9/11, fits the decription of someone that would see nothing wrong with advancing the idea that torture for those caught on the battlefield, not in uniform, was acceptable.

I see now he is again passing the buck!

I wonder if our professor at SFC, within Georgetown U, might not be running a little scared at the moment?

Having completed my post graduate degree at SFC, I was disappointed to learn of his appointment to the faculty.

I suspect Feith is only one of a large number of cretins on the loose in DC.
