His version of events in Afghanistan borders on the insane. Turning Afghanistan over to NATO has allowed things to slowly grind to a halt. (I supposed a prison break is of little interest to Hitchens.) He ignores the reality of Prime Minister Maliki's obvious desire to rid himself of the burden of being seen as Bush's puppet. The most important war to Hitchens appears to be his neverending campaign to prove he was always right about Iraq, regardless of how wrong he is.
