Hillary Clinton was all for invading Iraq when it was favored in the polls. Her authorization vote was a good way to bolster her candidacy for president. So she thought. Now that the polls oppose the war, so does Hillary. Anyone who opposes the war for whatever reason is an asset. But grandstanding for headlines is not leadership. I think the issue of adequate contingency planning is major, too important for Hillary and the Pentagon to be bellowing at each other publicly. A true statesman concerned about the nation would be talking with Gates quietly to resolve this, not posting letters with the press to get publicity. Hillary must be publicly aggressive now to try to overcome the monumental lack of judgment she demonstrated in authorizing Bush to go to war. Sure he lied, but others saw the same evidence, did not believe the lies, and voted against the war. Trying to escape responsibility in the pack and not owning up to her mistake is not the sign of a worldclass leader. We can't risk the presidency again. I don't trust Hillary enough to vote for her.

Anyone notice how, as it becomes more and more widely known that 47% of the Rat party have repeatedly said (in various polls) they would NOT vote for Hillary even if it meant a Pug victory, we've suddenly been seeing more and more of Bill Clinton lately? And just as suddenly, he's not speaking JUST in support of his better half (now there's a conundrum, trying to find the better half of the Clinton marriage!) but also making critiques of Bush/Pug policy?

Nothing is ever accidental with the Clintons (except maybe that stubborn stain on Monica's blue dress!). Since it's becoming more and more apparent even to them, that Hillary might be the front-runner, but simply cannot win, they've switched gears to allow Bill (touted as "the most popular Democrat on the planet!) to actually run for a 3rd term!

Oh those crazy Clintons! If we are actually stupid enough to put them back in office, just as we were stupid enough to put a Bush back in office, we most surely deserve whatever calamity befalls us. 8 yrs of Bush Sr. 8 yrs. of Slick...8 more yrs. of "Not so slick"...and now staring at the possibility of yet ANOTHER 8 yrs. of "Slick without the Willy"... That'll be very nearly a THIRD OF A CENTURY of political suicide for this country. Our survival is up for grabs at that point.

Where have all the true leaders gone? Where are the heroes? Has the media so warped the process that ANY person of integrity would rather chew off their own arm than participate in the carnival of soundbites, innuendo, and spurious polls that have become our presidential election mechanism?
