of "satire." Any sensible person would agree that the New Yorker cover is "over the top" and tasteless--but somehow I believe that there would be a lot less outrage if a conservative were the target of such tripe.

(1) Obama wasn't the target of the New Yorker cover. (2) Satire is by definition aimed at the foolish, hence the ubiquitous satire of Dubbya.

Satire: (noun) A literary technique of writing or art which principally ridicules its subject often as an intended means of provoking or preventing change. Humour is often used to aid this.

Satire is aimed at the comprehending, which pretty much makes you the foolish one.

I guess I'm not sensible

I guess I'm not sensible by that measure. Because I don't think it was "over the top" or particularly tasteless. I think confronting the prejudices that are being rained upon the Obama's by subjecting them to the harsh light of day is the ideal way to watch them wither and die like the slugs they are.

Satire, comedy, funny, thought provoking. I guess only when our President is depicted as Hitler. Liberals have a narrow sense of hunor.
NAh Bush is funny

NAh, Bush is funny all the time pretty much. After all, if we couldn't laugh at him we'd have to cry.

Don't recall Bush ever accusing Obama
