Thank you for placating

This is ridiculous. Wall-E should serve as a big wake up call to Americans. It is a fact that agricultural production, which has increased over the past several decades due to not only increased population, but as well as an increase in how much people eat(or think that they need to eat) that we are ruining the environment. The land needed for animals, methane gas from the millions of cows raised for slaughter, the factories needed to produce 'packaged' food that travels THOUSANDS OF MILES in BIG TRUCKS that emit tons of CO2.. our own personal vehicles that emit tons of CO2....we are a wasteful country and it shows in our midsection. Has anyone been to the beach lately? Its hard to pick out the thinner folk! Almost every kid between the age of 8 and 18 has a belly. Too many people have no idea what goes into getting the food onto their plate, not to mention what is even necessarily in their food to begin with. How many people know that theres high fructose corn syrup in most whole grain breads? Its absurd what is out there, and I think more people need to understand that they have a choice when it comes to what the put in their mouth and how the exercize themselves. To be ignorant, or to think for themselves. Cleary this writer prefers to stay in the dark.

You suggest that people have a choice, not so easy considering the growing number of industries that make a great deal of money on keeping people overweight.

The idea that you do not get fat from fat but that fat effectively cuts hunger that and proteins and almost no carbohydrates is a simple efficient method good for your health and never spoken of as there is no money in it. You do not need pills or gyms or doctors because you finally get well away from the dangerous nonsense of living fatfree if you wish to lose your fat.

I have lost 100 pounds in using humankind´s oldest

recipe for health: animal fats (cream, not milk, butter, eggs, fat cheese, fat fisk and meat)while obliterating everything containing sugar beginning with skipping fresh fruit (except blueberries and raspberries). No bread, no cereals.most vegetables also contain sugar better learn using spinach broccoli cauliflower mushrooms, green salads with delicious fat olive oil dressings. Make your own mayonnaise always.

You will find that what makes you thin is not exercise but a lifestyle with plenty of fat.

It is the fatfree life style - stuffed with the sugars of carbohydrates- that is to blame for the terrible situation of so many Americans these days.

Beat that darling.

Beat what? your suggestion that everyone should go on the atkins diet? Yeah, I like my arteries clear of shit, thank you very much. I follow a strict vegan diet and I am very active. I live a happy, thin, energetic life. Anywho, I dont really understand where you were coming from in your response. I never made any argument over what people should eat to lose weight(bc I honestly dont care, its different for everyone), only that people need to be in charge of their own nutrition, and to have a better relationship with their bodies, to desire exercise and physical activity (its in our genetic makeup, we should wanna get up and move!). Sure, the industries are in place, and they may be the socalled powers that be, but people need to be smarter than gimmicking schemes, that are yes manipulative, but also very transparent. I think that what a movie like Wall-E can do for us is to open our eyes to the bigger picture, that we don't need to be in the position of being the most overweight and wasteful nation in the world, and that we need to embrace our own ability to make decisions and think for ourselves.
