Leftist environmentalist wackos are pretty silly. They're against drilling for more oil because it will take so much time before we see that oil on the market. Yet, their solutions are at least as far away (if not further) from the market than the proven resource oil.

This is typical of the problem with many liberals. They become so focused on something (and it's usually something they're AGAINST, with the exception of their love of abortion), they can't see the big picture.

Meanwhile, those of us who can actually think for ourselves will maintain our position: DO IT ALL. Nuclear, hydroelectric, oil and gas, wind, fuel cells, etc. And yes, we should create more high-paying US jobs by increasing domestic exploration, production and increasing refining capacity. Now if only government would get out of the way and let it happen.

They are actually endagering the environment. Drilling WILL happen off the coast of Florida, it is only a matter of time and by what parties. Those with inferior equipment and no ability to deal with an environmental crisis, i.e. Malaysia, Vietnam, China, Cuba, India...or those with top tier technology and ability to handle any clean-up...the U.S.A.
