Spiers might be one of the most inconsiderate and selfish people I have ever come across. To rip on an airline after such a tragedy is absolutely horrible. I am in Brazil 2 to 3 times a year and I have never had a serious problem on TAM. There are far worse airlines in the world. They have the same problems that all airlines have. Yes, Brazil does have some internal problems with its air traffic control but that is not TAM's fault. In general, I would say that most South American carriers are more service oriented than American carriers. It seems that Spiers just feels that she is entitled to problem free travel, which does not exisit anywhere in the world. The reason that most TAM flights go through Sao Paulo is the same reason that most Delta flights go through Atlanta, American flights go through Dallas, and Continental flights go through Houston. That is their hub and that is where they pick up most of the clientele. Spiers should be prohibited from writing these kinds of things. It does no good for anyone.
