It would be nice if everyone did know the difference, but many people apparently don't. It's a counterintuitive notion, and even among those who know the difference, we often conveniently forget when it supports our argument.

I'd imagine people who read the fray for a living tire of hearing people talk about it, but if anyone has a better suggestion for helping people stop making that same logical error over and over, besides pointing the error out to them, I'd love to hear it.
