I'm becoming increasingly convinced that Lucy Morrow Caldwell's affiliation with Slate consists of nothing more than an act of patronage - nepotism ostensibly for the relative of frequent Slate contributor Christopher Caldwell. None of her contributions have displayed particular excellence in content, writing style or any other index of quality.

Her lambasted piece on Giuliani's daughter (see here - adjust your viewing options if none of the catalog of condemnations is visible) should have disqualified her from further Slate participation. Her self-righteous, impenitent (and bloated) appearance on CNN should have convinced any critics of such disqualification of their prior error in thinking. Really, this is just embarrassing.

It's a risk matrix, the torches reflect the impact and the percentage reflects the likelyhood.

I felt burned by the Matrix, when it turned out to secretly be all about Jesus. On the other hand, the Beijing olympics should be great!
