tsedek has been pretty vocal about that fact that he doesn't think much of either candidates fiscal policies. I see him as a contrarian and not a kool aid drinker.

Both McCain and the Magic Mulatto are fiscally irresponsible, a charge supported by their senate carriers and their campaign promises, both offering more tax deferments and credits, both offering to keep some of the disastrous Little George deferments, both supporters of the recent stimulus boondoggle.

I have a “plan” to cut all income taxes to zero and eliminate all tariffs and sales taxes while simultaneously growing the economy at 1,000%, increase the Defense budget by a million times, and build an 8 lane superhighway to Mars, all while going back in time and gaining ‘victory’ in Vietnam.

Every Repub Presidential candidate since Reagan promised to "cut taxes, cut spending, AND balance the budget"...

and yet we're supposed to believe that "THIS time...they mean it!"

I still have about four months to make up my mind on this. Obama looks more like Bush every day while McCain is getting as silly as Reagan by the moment. Two of the lousiest candidates ever. I may vote for McCain because he's a vet or I may vote for the punk slacker because he's a Democrat. Not impressed with either one of them and my opinion of them drops about every time they say something.

He'll do it sooner than McSame...that's good enough for me.

When Dick Cheney was on his "deficits don't matter" tour,McCain was silent.

He's not going to roll back Bush's tax cuts, he's going to make them permanent.

He's not going to end Bush's wars.

He's not going to make SERIOUS cuts in government spending.

So how's he gonna balance the budget? It's a fantasy.

As of yet, no reason to think he won't do that.....?

I believe he will try.

But the Democratic Congress will do anything and everything they can to thwart that.........so it may not be possible. You see, the Republicans worked with Clinton to make the budget right. The Democrats are absolutely NOT willing to work with a Republican Congress. They would rather hurt the whole country than do that.

So if McCain's elected and tries.........it will depend upon the Congress to either work with him or work against him.

I predict that if it's a Democratic Congress, they will opt not to work with him.
