On his last Enlistment before Retirement he was told he could not Reenlist, because he was Homosexual.

The USSC was correct of course.

I believe the Military suffers more when Homosexuals serve in secret.... Security Clearances are in jeopardy, anyone with a Security Clearance can be Blackmailed and such.... hiding one thing leads to hiding other things, and so on.

But, one cannot look at a Public Poll when talking about the Military, as the Military is not Civilian.... has nothing to do with the Civilian World.

So, since it is the Military and not Civilian Realm which is affected.... I'd say Poll the Military, in secret of course.

While he has to play somewhat to the far Right of the GOP, he can't win solely by doing that and ignoring the middle.

Since there are likely to be SOME homosexuals in the military under any rules, it simply makes more sense to allow them to serve openly. But the culture would be something of a stumbling block, I'm sure...

The question is not what the Civilian Realm wants on this issue, but what the Military wants.

Hell....if it's okay with the Israelis, why is it not for us?

As for the U.S. Military.... well, I do not know just how the Military feels about a change to the current policy.
