Well, let's look at it logically...and even willing to remove the "age factor" and say both men were in their 20s...

"foxhole" implies ground combat. Now, Obama grew up in a modest home and probably had his share of fights. He also spent time in the "rougher" parts of Chicago working as a community organizer.

McCain grew up priveleged, went to prep schools, and flew aircraft in combat...wasn't a "gropo" (ground pounder).

Killing for the nation is good? Times change...and McCain is no longer the vital fighter pilot of 22 years age. He is a doddering old man with great physical limitations and questionable mental health status.

His supposed strong suit, foreign relations, has been shown to be an arena where McCain doesn't even know the differences between the two major Muslim sects...

McCain was a PILOT...only enemy he saw was when he was face-to-face with the guy who captured him. Only enemy he killled was with an explosive payload he had dropped from 15,000 feet.

You said "foxholes". Given McCain has ZERO ground combat experience and in fact graduated near the bottom of his class at Annapolis AND the one time he did have contact with the enemy on the ground, it was in the process of being captured.

It's either a wash...or I'd go with Obama, cuz atleast he'd be a better man to fight with on the ground than somebody who all his classmates said was a "hot head" and "McNasty".

Obama, if the situation would ever come up, which it would obviously never come up.

Sort of like who would you rather have a beer with, Obama, or McCain...... which is obviously more plausible.

actual "fighting" experience...and has lived a life largely of comfortable privilege, discounting those 5 years in the Hanoi Hilton, of course.

So...your theoretical question is merely an exercise in thinking. You would take a man with no experience in the theoretical arena at all and one who at this time likely couldn't properly perform the functions of his job.
