Libertarians favor Obama 53% to 38%
by swiet

"Libertarian voters make up 4% of the nation’s likely voters and they favor Barack Obama over John McCain by a 53% to 38% margin. Three percent (3%) would vote for some other candidate and 5% are not sure." ...

Gotta love it !!! And yet they'll be the first ones to jump ship when his Policies are implemented by the Democrat Congress. Cutting off their nose to spite their face is going to make good entertainment.

a patriot. It has nothing to do with patriotism one way or the other, so you can get off of that particular high horse.

It is a question of policy, and Bush's policies have done no good for the country at all. Now, if you want to consider supporting failed policies as patriotism, ok then. I view patriotism a little differently though. I view it no so much as nationalism, as so many hard core righties do, but as supporting the ideals that brought this country into existence. But that's just me

It's the war. We were right about the idiocy of invading Iraq. Some libertarians can't get beyond that. I think that is stupid because we can't go back and undo that and electing Obama with the Dems firmly in control of Congress is such an anti-libertarian thing to do that they will all be sorry almost as soon as the election is over. There's just too much short term thinking in America with respect to politics...
interesting

if Bush's policies did "no good for the country" why is Obama moving in that direction? Ofcourse, he will not go all the way, but to make such a blanet statement that Bush has done no good makes it sound as if Obama could run counter to Bush and win by a landslide. There would be no need for a shift to the center. Yet he is.
lol, thanks, I have my moments

sadly they are too few and far between.
I don't see him as moving towards

Bush at all. I do think the center, so to speak, is where most people reside and I don't think that's a bad thing.

OK...Bush is right and Obama is left (if we are talking simple politics here). Obama moving to the center means he has to move right...unless you know way he can go so far to the left he ends up in the center. If Bush has been THAT bad, why can't a left candidate win right now? Isn't that what Reagan did for the right in 80 and especially 84? So either Obama isn't the great communicator people believe he is, or the country is closer to Bush than they want to admit because he is the latest whipping boy.
those are not libertarians........
by Hst_Fan
they are the fiscal conservative social liberals who call themselves libertarians with no idea of libertarian philosophy.......
