Obama is still the candidate of change

First of all, Obama did not promise to lose this election, he is running to win, and as such, has to move a little towards the center, just as every other candidate in the past has done.

Because he makes this move, does not mean he is not a change candidate. Largely it is his overall vision of where he wants to take this country that has not changed, it is way different from "stay the course" McSame, and anyone with a brain can compare his vision with McSame and see that.

Am I disappointed in Obama for moving to the center? Hell no, I expect him to do that if he is to get elected. I am glad if he can reach out to middle and bring them in. The issues that he is moving center on are not the big issues for me, but it may be enough to bring others to his campaign. Great.

McCain has the same opportunity to reach out to center, but instead he is choosing to reach out exclusively to his base. I think this is the bigger news story. It is not a winning strategy.

LOL. So how is winning the way people have in the past by shifting your policies to attract the middle "change."

This board is full of some of the dumbest people on the face of the earth.

Yup, that's Grandpa's biggest problem. He's out there pandering to the thumpers because right now they aren't the slightest bit motivated to get out and vote for him.

And he does so at the expense of the center, where Obama is successfully feeding.

This, and his hopelessly inflexible position on Iraq will cost him the election.

Ignore the nattering nabobs who would love to believe that Obama is pissing off the far left and that they'll now vote for McSame.

Sure they will. ;)

so tell me

when BO supporters accused hillary of saying and doing anything to get elected you didnt MEAN that????

because this is EXACTLY what obama is doing right this very minute ....to win the general,,,,,,can you say hypocrite????

the FACT you cant see it is very very telling

The answer is simple. If you want to win you have to play. I don't fault him for playing, because I know when he is elected it will be the vision he brings with him to office that will be what matters. Obama has a plan to get us out of Iraq, John McCain doesn't. Obama has a plan to turn the economy around and it is way different than "stay the course" McSame. I don't really care what he does to get elected, as long as its legal. McCain has the same opportunity, but he's not doing it. Anybody that stupid doesn't deserve to win.
Hmmm...

It's like this Jeff. The sun rises in the east and sets in the west. There are political realities to be reckoned with in order to get elected and bring about "change".

Unless Obama deals with those realities, there will be no change..

Simple really.

I am so delighted

lol, my thoughts exactly.

Obama does not stand for "change" he stands for siding the the cons on key issues

slapping those that got him where he is right in the kisser,

and they bend over asking for more.

Shameless

The things that BO supporters were accusing Hillary of were race baiting, and making personal attacks against a member of her own party. You are comparing apples to chickens.

If Hillary had won the nomination, she would be moving to the center as well. If the cons got upset about Hillary doing that, you'd be supporting her, yes?

So in other words, you are just Anti Obama, and to me, until you get over it, your opinion really doesn't matter to me. Goodbye.

these people are morons

They all jumped on his bandwagon because he "was against this war from the beginning" and now they are trying to explain to us how it is ok if he doesn't stick with his troop withdrawal plan.
