Most Americans much less worried....
by chrisinCA

"But most Americans are now much less worried about terrorism than they were four years ago..."

Am I the only one worried that the war criminals running this administration might actually allow some sort of attack to happen before the election? The McCain campaign has already suggested that such a thing would help McCain. Yes, McCain decried that statement, but it is the truth that no one speaks, isn't it?

What will they do if they find themselves desperate in October?

Well, it's somehow easier to imagine...

that Hamas, Al Qaeda and Obama will agree to a truce until Obama is elected president. Moreover, I wouldn't be surprised if Obama agrees to a Munich-type agreement with them, and agree to sell out Israel and support the final solution to the Jewish "problem". At least that would be directly following the ideas of Obama's ideological and religious teacher, rev. Wright.

I wouldn't put it past them, Chris, but then McCain would be forced to explain how the GOP is more competent in defending us against an attack.

Any way you slice it, and as horrified as I am about the Bush administration, we have not had an additional attack on US soil by the Alquies since 9/11. And itt's not like they haven't tried.

I would also say that part of that reason is that Bush has not only treated Islamist jihadism as a law enforcement problem, as many Democrats have urged, but has waged war against them.

That's the only thing going for them, and it's a big thing. By them "allowing" another attack would hurt them rather than help them.

Now, a hot war erupting with Iran....? I expect Bush will launch an air assault, or allow Israel to do so, before he's out office. And they will use this and the worries about war to every advantage in the election.
