Maybe, just maybe, there are elements of both parties who jump to accusing their opponents (inside and outside their parties) of being un-American instead of having a meaningful policy discussion. Maybe, just maybe, we've seen that very thing in talks on immigration. Maybe, just maybe, we've seen that very thing in talks on NAFTA or other free trade agreements.
