Here is the Issue
by jet_gypsy
I think we could agree that a fetus is not a fully-formed human. Right? It exists within it's mother and is not separate. Right? So, we have to ask ourselves if it is ok to kill, terminate, torture or attack a partially-formed human. If you say yes, then I am wondering if you would consider a child with spina-bifida a partially-formed human. Obviously, this child did not form correctly (I have a very mild version and I know this to be true.) So my body is only partially-formed. Well, a fetus can't live on it's own. Well, neither can a very small premie. On the same logic that pro-choice people make, a mother should be free to kill a premie or a child with spina bifida. Is this making sense to anyone, yet?

Your body is malformed, not partially unformed.

nope, sorry. It's easy to make strained, half-formed connections between carefully chosen words or phrases. Watch: "An unborn fetus isn't counted as a person in the national census, right? It also has no name, ssn, or birth certificate and therefore does not exist at all as a citizen of the US. It is therefore not protected by its laws because it is a nonentity."

Just as valid as your argument, and just as incomplete.

So why are there laws being passed in almost every state about harming the unborn in car accidents, etc.??

If a potential mother chooses to give birth to a potential human, and an accident causes injury to either, all legally responsible tort feasors should be obligated by law to pay reparations for damages.
