Qualifications
by shatteredmen

If Senator McCain is not qualified to be POTUS, what in the world makes Clark think that Obama is qualified? Obama is a JUNIOR senator elected in 2004 while McCain has been either in Congress or the Senate since 1982.

Most of the things Obama has voted for have been for the benefit of other (Mostly African) nations and not the United States.

It is my understanding that he will not pledge allegiance to the US because he does not want to "take sides" He does not like the National Anthem because it is "too war like"

Newsflash Senator Obama, I for one WANT the POTUS to take sides...OUR SIDE!

And the best way to have peace...is to be ready for WAR!

Wesley did NOT qualify Obama.

Wesley disqualified McCains' claim of having war experience. I am guessing it's because McCain made it an issue in his campaign. Obviously Obama has not made it an issue, since he doesn't have any.

I think, a man who pushes a button that kills people from 30,000 feet is a coward. I would not do it. But to McCain's credit, he flew a recon plane, A4 I believe, that are equipped to detect radar sites, not provide ground support.

Read up on the A-4 intersurfa. It had nothing to do with electronic warfare.

A man that pushes a button that kills people from 30 thousand feet lives to fight another day. Let the bastards on the other team die for their country.

McCain was a POW In case you do not remember, this stands for Prisoner of WAR thus it would seem he does have war experience.

McCain also has a very high personal interest in Iraq has his own sons have been there so it is not like some of those former presidents and presidents wannna bes that would never have their own family in harms way.

As far as you statement of "I think, a man who pushes a button that kills people from 30,000 feet is a coward" you have essentially called most of our service men and women cowards. Those that serve on submarines, most Navy ships, and other areas do not see their targets. I also contend that even the infantry often very much appreciated being able to call in an...air strike so that they too could live another day.

Military pilots face more danger on a daily basis than most people can comprehend. The infantry are in a high-risk profession when they are at war. Aviators, especially naval aviators like McCain, face risks even without the enemy shooting at them.

I suppose some think that distance between you and your target make someone less courageous. By that token, strangling someone makes the strangler the bravest man around. In combat, the other side wants to kill you. He's not trying to be fair to you; why be fair to him.

The A-4 was a light-attack aircraft, BTW.
