Progressives watch too much Star Trek

First they buy into the BS that human beings are all inherently good people who only commit violent acts because they are oppressed discriminated against, or made to feel left out of the Kumbaya lawn circle.

Now the hopeheads like Doubter are warning us that at the rate technology is expanding, we will all be turned into the Borg if we don't elect a president like Obama who 'understands technology" and not an "old fosil" like John McCain.

It seems some Americans have been turned into a collective conscience already, but through the use of Kool Aide, not technology....

I had seen that post, and thanks for commenting on it. Doubter's spin was just a variation on the age-old "Republicans are dumb" schtick.

Yeah, those Uhura like bluetooth headsets and flip-phone communicators (cell phones) should never have been invented or marketed and God forbid we should get transporters and replicators and not end up creating so much waste or taking so long to get from one place to another or all be able to explore our full potentials.
Hey, Sarge.....

My theory is that the Borg began as a very cool and valid social experiment.

Imagine being linked to everyone, with infinite knowledge and experiences accessible at any time....

Unfortunately, as usual when sentient beings rush too swiftly into "Utopian" experiments...things got FUCKED up....

"We are the Borg. We will assimilate your own distinct experiences and knowledge to our own. Prepare to be assimilated. Resistance is futile...."

Yes, thanks for clearing that up.

Everyone with a brain knows that it's the Kumbaya-singing liberals who are the dumb ones.

Hmmm...don't think yer "Green" buddies are going to go for..

...Anti-matter Propulsion systems.

And Star Fleet are a gang of "Fascists" anyways.

They are always starting fights with those peace-loving Klingons--until the Feds kicked their ass and they became allies (Hey, that could never happen!)

Wow... who said anything resembling the rant you just made?

I see.... so we'll have to substitute your ridiculous, fictional accusations for an argument? mmmm.... OK, whatever makes you happy.

Argument? Is that what your post was attempting to do?

What is it you wish to argue? Have you ever attempted such a thing?

Yes, try rereading what I posted. If you have a substantive rebuttal to what I said, I'd love to read it. I stand by my post.

It's funny that the cons seem to know the most about Star Trek.

"Sgt." Schlock reads too many of his own posts

...has convinced himself that his absurd strawmen and outright Right-wing fantasies somehow "mean" something.

To quote Mook.........."why?" :)

what you "think" is irrelevant...

conservative regressives like you will no longer have a voice in the government come november. The only voice the GOP will have will be that of the namby-pamby middle road RINO's... enjoy the worlrd you created "sarge"...
Man, CrockO'Shitowitz. You been smokin'...
by RasputinsLiver

...more of those Rush Limbaugh Talking Points whacky tuhbacky again?

First they buy into the BS that human beings are all inherently good people who only commit violent acts because they are oppressed discriminated against, or made to feel left out of the Kumbaya lawn circle.

Nah, we don't think that at all. We certainly don't think most cons're inherently good people. I don't think most religious folks, be they Christian, Muslim, Scientologists, Moonies, republicans, Satanists (well, that was a redundancy, wasn't it? republicans...Satanists...oh well. Anyway...), are inherently good people. Greedy corporate fascists and war mongers/war profiteers are certainly not inherently good people.

No. You're way off base, Pvt. CrockO'Shitowitz on that one.

Now the hopeheads like Doubter are warning us that at the rate technology is expanding, we will all be turned into the Borg if we don't elect a president like Obama who 'understands technology" and not an "old fosil" like John McCain.

Uh...gee, maybe having someone in the White House who understands something more technical that his old, worn out See 'n' Say Farm Animals toy and how that meets up with our national economic well being, something he's admitted he has no clue about, just might be of some import, 'eh? Whatchya think, CrockO'Shitowitz?

I mean, this is a guy who wrecked fight planes during his so-called "war hero" career so clearly he had little aptitude for things technological.

It seems some Americans have been turned into a collective conscience already, but through the use of Kool Aide, not technology....

For that last one have a gander in the mirror and you'll find your answer. You're not that bright, are ya.
