McCain's 1st wife suffered more
by Amyaz
McCain's 1st wife was in a horrible accident during his imprisonment - so horrible that she lost inches in height. She refused to have him notified about the accident, because she didn't want to upset him.

What did he do when he returned? He cheated on her. Repeatedly. Settled on a nice, vaguely creepy heiress. Married the heiress one month after he divorced his wife.

In my mind, this nullifies all of his sympathy points.

Then I take it you wont be attending Teddy "the murderer" Kennedy or Bill "the adulterer" Clinton's funerals? Dick Cheney doesn't get a funeral, he doesn't even die, he just hibernates for 100 years.

Since you abhor the men in your post so much and so readily include McCain in the same mindset as them perhaps its reasonable to conclude you abhor the actions of John McCain and his walking out on his first wife for a much younger and wealthier woman?

It is a pretty sleazy thing to do though.

Clinton and McCain no. Clinton is just Bill Clinton, can't blame him. I could see myself doing the same thing in McCain's case. I don't know McCain's situation, if '79 was the soonest he could end his marriage without looking like a total dick, then thats what I'd do. But I mean I wouldn't have strung the lady along if it was obvious that the marriage was over, and I don't know if I would have cheated so much. But I can't play details without the details. It was a dick move, but the sleazier move would have been to keep a loveless, broken marriage going for political purposes.

And Teddy yes, he is going straight to hell on a rocket sled. I draw the line at murder.

As for Cheney, well I'm sure Hell wouldn't take him, the devil doesn't want to get shot in the face.

Manslaughter perhaps but not murder.

A drunken boy panicked and another person died after a nights partying. Its a terrible and horrific thing. It happens at least once a night in America in one form or another. I do not dismiss it or condone it.

It would be nice if Bush's record and his life were held to any type of scrutiny at all. But his entire personal life has been mostly kept secret even though it was known he was a party animal until he was 40 years old. Thats not youthful indiscretion, thats character flaw.

Agreed.

I'm curious as to what's going to come out about Bush once he's out of office. I think people are really going to pipe-up.

Give it a rest, why don't you? Millions of people divorce. They divorced about 30 years ago and he has been happily married to Cindy since. What the heck does their divorce have to do with anything?

Did your hubby leave you for another woman or something. It is called his "personal" life for a reason - because it's "personal". You and people like you who bring up people's sex lives all the time are just obsessed by other people's lives - don't you have one of your own? I bet you watch soaps all day and say, "That lying ...."

The point of this article is McCain's military service. He served. Obama doesn't even salute our flag and said it was a "symbol of oppression".

John McCain has 22 years in the senate, Barrack Obama 143 days (50% of which he missed but still cashed his paycheck).

Why don't you focus on that?

Where did you hear this? From the voices in your head?

Its very possible more people will step up after Bush is out of power and his ability to destroy other peoples lives is somewhat limited. I still wonder what that fellow Livingston let slip the night before Cheny tried to blow his head off. He sure slipped under the radar real fast. Or what ever became of that fishing buddy of Bush? After he publicly commented on Bushs admitted illegal use of drugs he completely disappeared from public view as well. Perhaps he was told he was going to be used for bait if he didn't shut up.

I really think people/things are going to pop up when he no longer has the power. They've got to--I mean, all that went on in this administration. Disgruntled aides, interns, etc.

Who knows, but I think it's going to happen. Plus, the media will really dig into him even more.
