neuroenhancers are a scam
by its yggy

I have a few problems with this neuro-competitive advantage business. A lot of jobs aren't like sports, where you have a clear, even singular, objective and relatively few options to accomplish it. Sprint 500 meters. Rush the quarterback. There's technique involved, no doubt, but it's not quite the same as strategic planning, where the goal may also be singular, but the steps to get there haven't been created yet. Anyone with a penchant for creativity should know that it's not necessarily thinking harder that produces the right outcome. It could be arrived at by total accident. Personally, I feel not thinking about something is at least as important as thinking about it when a new solution is called for.

I'd also like to know what that claim of 5-10% more effective trading is measuring. Is it speed? 10% faster wouldn't be such a virtue if the work is rife with errors.

I don't doubt that people use prescription drugs in this way. But if you're an intelligent person, you should already realize that factors like sleep, nutrition, exercise, and stress ultimately play bigger roles in shaping "neuro performance."
