McCain crashed 5 planes
by sara bellum

Oh no, I am wrong, he crashed 4 planes and the 5th was 'shot down' right... Who else in the Navy crashed 3 planes and was not mustered out? those are mighty expensive planes.. Who would be able to get car insurance if they crashed 4 cars? Who would get fired if they crashed 2 trucks? What commercial airline would hire him?

And this is serving your country fly boy!!! just like that DEK frat brat that we have in the White House right now. McCain will get elected because they have to keep the bodies buried.

just to be accurate, McCain actually crashed 3 planes, had one blown up while he was sitting in it on the deck of an aircraft carrier (hardly his fault) and one shot down by the enemy.

burned on the Forrestal (where he was wounded) and number 4 was shot down. It also said he crashed the first two by low flying and flying into power lines. If you're flying a fighter bomber, you'd better practice flying on the deck.

And at the time of his pranging aircraft, he was a nobody--Academy grad for sure, but a nobody. So I don't believe there's any nefarious favoritism being shown.

I wouldn't claim too strongly that nepotism wasn't a factor. Not many midshipman get 5 years to finish the academy due to poor academic performance.

Well, his father was an admiral, after all.

But you got all the way through Annapolis on your own, right?

The ignorant burbling on this thread by a string of losers is hilarious-- chirp on.

He was last in his class and a admiral's kid....

You fill in the blanks....

b/e

ps...does he know the difference between a Sunni and a Shite yet?

I don't. But was wondering if he did.

McCain graduated when?
by middleview

He would have entered the academy long before the first American soldiers were killed in Vietnam, since he graduated in 1958.

Do you bother to check your facts before posting or is anything that sounds good enough for you?

What do you call someone who

graduates last in his medical school class? Answer: doctor.

What do you call someone who graduates last in his academy class: ensign.

And I suppose you have proof that McCain senior called in favors to keep junior flying, or do you prefer innuendo to facts? I don't know, but I am curious as to what evidence you think you have.

Supposedly, Carter was the "smartest" man we've ever had as president, so I wouldn't be keen on playing that card.

The difference between Sunnis and Shias is that when Sunnis are in power they abuse Shias, whereas when it is the Shiites in charge, it is the other way round.

Re: What do you call someone who

The reason to pay attention to the difference between Sunni and Shiia has to do with which countries are run by which tribes. Iran is run by Shiites. Saudi Arabia by Sunnis. Knowing the difference is vital to understanding what motivates our enemies and our allies.

I've never heard that Carter was the smartest president we ever had. My choice would be Kennedy or FDR.

What do you call the anaesthesiologist who finished last in his class and just lost a 10 year old patient who was in for ear surgery?

"The defendant"
