I assume you were counting Kazim Kazim as one of Turkey's foreign born players, but that is slightly misleading as far as the novelty of his presence on the Turkish national team.

Even though he doesn't speak Turkish fluently, his mother is Turkish. So, it's not really as notable as other Brazilians or Croats that find their way onto a different national team. Still a very good article that is only the surface of issues concerning national identity.
