Dire U.S. Economy
by esox

Bush's Voo-Doo economy has yet to reach bottom. It is going to get worse before it gets better.

"Billionaire investor Eli Broad said the U.S. economy is in the `worst period' of his adult life as a housing market recovery remains ``several years'' away. ``This is worse than any recession we've had since World War II,'' Broad, 75, the founder of homebuilder KB Home, said in an interview."

good, I'm glad home buiders are in trouble

They are in part responsible for sprawl & for encouraging tens of millions of illegals to migrate here to build their crappy houses , live in them, and add to the sprawl.

Damn that is CONvoluted CON speak. There's been a "misunderestimation" of how whacked out the CONfused will go to excuse themselves.

Bush economy is good because as it goes to crap, you CONS find the silver lining by punishing illegal immigrants while feeding into the greens bitch about suburban sprawl.

The more salient point that was being made in the original post was the effect Bush's "Ownership Society" Voo-Doo Economics coupled with Bush's ever loosening Government oversight on things like housing finance, SEC price fixing on commodities like oil, off shoring, out sourcing and down sizing (the whole damned ball of wax).

Did I mention the burgeoning national deficit and yearly budget chicanery covering up the mass fraud that Bush-CO are perpetuating on us through the yearly Federal budget shell game?

And all the CON-Tard supply side economists are as docile and quiet as the kid who just broke the neighbors front window with a foul ball grand slam that lost the game for his side.

Bragging while running down the street that that old biddie got what was coming to her.

Oh yarite, blame it on cheap labor.

You voted for Ronald Reagan, who started all this sending of jobs out and bringing cheap labor in; y'all hate unions, which are the only thing that can check the greed of corporations, so shut the hell up and take your own medicine.

Re: No Wedgies For the CONS

The CONS have yet to go in to the other wedge issues of margianl importance.

Gay Marriage, Illegal immigrants and of course wrapping themselves in the flag via another dumbed assed poke at making it a Constiutional Amendment.

The gun whine has been cut off at the neck with the recent SCOTUS decision in their favor. DEMS would do well to allow that issue to go to sleep.

Therefore acquesceing the gun toting demographic of BO's contempt for the bible thumping, gun toting bitter small towners.

Illegal immigration is now a non-issue as well for the CONS, as mad dog MAC took lots of heat from the rabid right for supporting the legislation, and at teh same time costing the GOP the Hispanic vote with the CON-Tards anti-MAC immigration attacks....all in one felled swoop.

That leaves wrapping themselves in the flag, because they have no legitimate claims on fiscial responsibility, which seems a joke in the way Bush abuses the Constiution ("It's just a Goddamn piece of paper.") and abused heros like Pat Tillman and Jescia Lynch.

check this out and then I'll accept your apology

You boy Ted Kennedy & a crat congress raised immigration caps back in the 1960's. Thanks for destroying the US environment. I'm sure your proud.

Your willful ignorance is really where it is at around here.

Immigration is not half as corrosive to our economy as the that big sucking sound of Iraq that you hear.

Nor the total lack of a coherent energy policy.

Nor Bush's capitualtion of all control over trade to big corporations.

FYI CONS have shot them selves in the foot and then in the head on this immigration wedge issue.

How's that? Well seems somewhere in the deep dark recesses of CON-Tard backroom world the boys came up with the solution to win 08.

And the solution included sticking it to mad dog MAC 6 different ways from tomorrow forcing him out of the primary race.

That was the foot shot.

Now the Hispanic voters are PO at the CONS and they view all Republicans as out to get them...that just happens to include MAC as well (who got shit on twice for this by his GOP).

That was the coup de gras or head shot.
