How did you measure that? Democrats keep on calling George W. Bush stupid, while he had a slightly higher Grade Point Average than Kerry when they were both undergraduates at Yale, and went on to earn a Harvard MBA while global-warming-preacherman Albert Gore II flunked out of Duke divinity School.

Two years ago Obama predicted that the "surge" would fail and McCain called for it; it seems to be working now. (Notice how the Democrats try to ignore Iraq?) What else has Obama done?

How does any of that compare to the sheer stupidity coming out of little george's mouth?

Cicero was a big fan of straw man and ad hominem arguments. I'm not surprised you would compare the two, but realistically, you are talking about Rove, not little george.

We'll see how well the surge has "worked" once the deployments drop back down to pre-surge levels. Of course, given that the Iraqis have gotten zero political progress done (remember that? That was the whole point of the surge. To give the Iraqi government time to get its sh!t together), I wouldn't bet on any of the short term gains in violence reduction lasting.

Of course, even if the surge does succeed, that doesn't mitigate the fact that we were lied to into to justify this fiasco and that it was completely mismanaged from day one.

BTW, besides the media, I don't know anyone who is "ignoring" Iraq. It's still exhibit A in why Bush should not have been put in charge of caring for a hamster, let alone the most powerful nation on earth.

It's interesting that, rather than try and come of with even a single reason why Bush isn't stupid, you instead divert the conversation by attacking someone else (Kerry, Gore, Obama).

I guess you didn't read my post where I said Obama is slightly smarter than Bush. I don't like Obama and will not vote for Obama. Just because I think Bush is the dumbest president we ever had ( not to mention the cockiest and the most arrogant president in modern history) does not make me an Obama supporter.

Who wins won't really matter. We are all screwed.
