Rival Democratic campaigns?
by Beaujoe

John Dickerson writes that

"For rival Democratic campaigns, the ad is an occasion to claim Edwards has been emasculated and make haircut jokesFor rival Democratic campaigns, the ad is an occasion to claim Edwards has been emasculated and make haircut jokes"

I'm sorry rival *Democratic* campaigns aren't that petty. I think the word you are looking for here is "Republican"

Oh please... if you believe the Democrats are so saintly and classy as to never use a cheap shot like a haircut line against one of their own, you are living in more of a fool's paradise than Dick Cheney.

Nobody has called them saints, but I haven't heard any cheap shots yet, have you?

not any THAT cheap. I suppose it is not literally impossible that they would use the hair-cut attack, but this one is definitely being pushed by the right-wing.

Would I be more likely to vote for a candidate that pays $15 or even $50 for a hair-cut? Probably, but not if he were going to bomb Iran.

I also support a fidelitous candidate over one that is not, but I wouldn't support the persecution of a sitting president for the benefit of a bunch of crotch-sniffing hypocrites. It's all a matter of degrees, and yes "relativity." That's not hypocrisy, its just not oversimplifying matters.
