Earlier today I replied to someone with a hotmail account and I received notice that their account was inactive. I sent several emails and they all came back.

Mine worked fine.

the account is inactive if it's not used for a while, like 3 months. could be someone registered a free account for communication with you, and then things went flat, and he didn't sign on again. Casanovas do that, one account per hot tomale. This way they dont mix up their tomatos.

Actually, I've had occasional problems logging into hotmail ever since they switched to that stoopid "live msn" crap. I try to log in and the page comes back with an e104 error. Ten minutes later I try again and it works perfectly. I'm not sure if it is my ISP or their "live msn hotmail".

Your problem may be related to that.

Alternatively his email may have been hacked and used to send out spam/junk emails. MSN will suspend an account if they suspect something like that. I would try and get them to switch to one of the other free email services.
