I understand that for whatever reason, some people don't want Jehovah's Witnesses knocking on their doors. However, what some people don't understand is, we are doing a life saving work, by helping honest-hearted ones come to an accurate knowledge of God's Word, the Bible. We know from our intensive study of the Scriptures, that very soon, world religion as we know it, will change forever. We are merely trying to alert as many as possible to this eventuality. The Bible warns that any who are not serving God in the way that He requires, will be destroyed! Hence the life saving work. We, as Christians, are warned by God that if we do not do this to the best of our ability, then we are blood-guilty for those we could have saved, but did not. It's not a natural instinct for anyone, including Jehovah's Witnesses, to knock on strangers doors. But we do this, 1.Because we are commanded by God to do so. 2. Because we love people, even those that would cause us physical harm, so much that we are willing to go and preach to everyone about God's Kingdom, and all of the wonderful things it can and will do for all mankind. I, personally, don't have any desire to annoy or harrass anyone. To those who might think our preaching falls under those descriptions, you obviously don't know what true love for fellow man is.
