I wrote 2 new posts this a.m. The first is appearing here (on texting while with others). The second (on the braless friend) appeared briefly and is now gone. Does anyone know who is censoring things (it had no obscenity in it) and making them disappear? I did complain that there was a gratuitous swipe at feminism in the letter, and I commented on that issue - is this board controlled by anti-feminists??

OK, very strange - my mysteriously disappearing post appears when I click on Dear Prudence, but does not appear when I click on Discuss. Any idea why?

I found that only certain posts show up when you get into the discussion through Dear Prudence. Now, if you click back into the Fray by clicking up on the left onto the "Dear Prudence" link you see, it will bring you to ALL the Fray posts about Prudence.

It's a quirky little thing I noticed when the revamped the Fray. And annoying. So, it depends on "where you were" when you posted. If you were already in the full Fray lists, it won't show up if you go through the original Dear Prudence Discussion link later on.

Clicking "Discuss" shows the posts that were written in direct response to the article; i.e. by clicking "Post a Message" or "Discuss" from the article page.

Clicking "Dear Prudence" in the path chain at the top (The Fray >> Dear Prudence >> Yada Yada Yada) will show all of the postings on any Dear Prudence topic, including those that are not linked to any specific article. Posts initiated from here are not linked to an article.

Think of it like folders: From the Dear Prudence folder, you can see all of the sub-folder, but from a sub-folder, you can't see the other folders or the Dear Prudence folder.

I was beginning to think it was my computer (s) . I tried Fitzs suggestion and it doesn't work for me.

I read your ( greensleeves) post this morning and then they disapeared. I did find that if I click on your screen name it links back to your posts so they are still here .

Another example is the lady with the PhD husband that Messy was referencing in her posts. The only way I could find the original post was to click on Messys screen name and view the original post from Messys response.

You should also see a variety of different article names in one of the columns. This lets you know what article the poster was responding to.
