Bill Clinton Offers His Enthusiastic Support. -
by TickleBob

BUT IT HAS AN "I support Al Gore" RING TO THE ONE SENTENCE STATEMENT NOT EVEN DELIVERED PERSONALLY...

Former President Clinton said through a spokesman Tuesday that he is committed to helping Barack Obama become president, his first comments in support of his wife's former rival since their primary ended three weeks ago.

Relations between the last Democratic president and the candidate who wants to be the next one are frosty — they still haven't spoken in the aftermath of the heated campaign. But Bill Clinton extended an offer to help in a one-sentence statement from spokesman Matt McKenna.

"President Clinton is obviously committed to doing whatever he can and is asked to do to ensure Senator Obama is the next president of the United States," McKenna said.

It's not clear what Obama might ask him to do. The campaign wasn't specific when asked.

WHEN THE DEMOCRATS LOSE THIS ONE, UNCLE BILL CAN TELL THEM "I TOLD YOU SO" TWICE.!

Snicker. Obama will probably ask him to throw himself under a bus! I hope WJC doesn't lift a hand to help this jerk.

And so far, Hillary has got nothing out of her big endorsement of him to her supporters.

I want to see my candidate's campaign debt erased, and a dignified place for her on the ticket.

Or, like you suggest, he should get nothing!

You want Obama to pay Hillarys' campaign debt - why the hell should he?

Someone campaigns against you, and overspends, you win the campaign, and are expected to pay for their overspend?? What planet are you from?

If someone wants to spend their own money, on their own campaign, that's down to them.

Obama is fighting a Presidential campaign, he needs all the dollars he can get hold of, and you expect him to take a few millions out of that campaign money to give to the Clintons?? It's not as if the Clintons are pleading poverty, is it?

I expected better from you.

Thank you for pointing out the obvious, Wulk.

Obama spent his campaign money wisely and efficiently, planning for the long term while Clinton blew money, planned for it to be over Feb. 5th, ran up debots all over the place, slimed Obama at every chance, as did her supporters (which as you can see, continues three weeks later) with literally the kitchen sink and now he should pay her bills for foolish spending? He owes her a place on the ticket? In your dreams! It the situation were reversed and Obama had lost, he and his supporters would have been alughed off the planet! Hillary went for the popular vote in the big states. Obama went for the delegate votes which the Dem rules dictated and which Hillary's advisors and supporters agreed to. Sympathy can be found in the dictionary somewhere between sex and syphalis. Enough of the drama already!

Ah...Wulk, that is the way it's done here, the winner bails out the loser.

Obama will surely have more than enough money to campaign on, hell, Hillary is giving him her fundraisers!

The fundraisers that couldn't raise enough money to stop her going into debt? Aw gee, thanks! :)

Well, it certainly sounds like you Obama supporters don't need Clinton's voters...oh but your camp did want that endorsement? right?

Maybe you should urge your man at the top to just say "no" to Hillary supporters...like he did with public financing, then his voters will vote for him, and her voters can write-in her name on the ballot....deal?

Are you saying that the American political scene depends on Obama paying of Hillarys' debts to get her supporters on his side? Are you that shallow?

Yep. In case Dave refuses to take note, those who are sincerely interested in the best interests of our country, have already climbed aboard the Obama Express and that constitutes the majority. Dave also didn't notice that a big chunk (17-20) of Hillary's biggest donors left her for Obama over their disgust with her negative campaigning and they contributed the maximum. Only the kie-hards who believe Hillary shouldn't have to take personal responsibility are the holdouts.

I've said it before and I repeat; These bitter and angry Clinton supporters are much the same as two-year-olds who haven't yet learned that throwing temper tantrums and stamping their feet gets you nothing but a sharp swat on the bottom. At least that's the way it's always been done in our house.

And BTW,

The Clinton's political mabitions and futures depend upon them being good, loyal Democrats or they're finished and that doesn't fit the ambitious plans in the future.

Have you noticed that there are a few Clinton supporters who have taken their ball and left the game (KFS).

These are people who have been campaigning hard, against Bush/PNAC for the past 7 years, and now, they're off on a sulk - you think you know people, until the shit hits the fan!

Re: Thank you for pointing out the obvious, Wulk.

That's when their true colors come out, doesn't it? Sulking and whining are their trademark. Has anyone missed their vitriol?

I hope Obie takes Bill up on his offer to help.
