mouthful of flesh doesn't make you “part of a revolution.”

Reading L.E. Leone's account of how much pleasure she takes in murdering those she purports to “love” was profoundly disturbing. She needn't worry about “going crazy” if she stopped eating the flesh of other living beings - she's already there.

As for Peat Willcutt having “made peace” with murdering the chickens he raises - it ain't yours to make peace with, bucko. That's like saying, “I've made peace with my racism. I no longer have mixed feelings about using racial slurs.” Congratulations on becoming comfortable harming others and being inured to their suffering. It's why there hasn't been peace on earth since humans walked upright.

Both Leone and Willcut are the worst kind of self-congratulatory hypocrites. Their whole argument is based on the premise that killing and eating animals is an “essential evil.” Evil, yes. Essential, hardly. Humans do not need to eat animal flesh to survive. Our bodies, our planet, and the other glorious, sentient beings we share the earth with would be better off if humans stopped eating animals' bodies. And furthermore, being able to oppress, exploit, and murder other beings for the sake of a mouthful of flesh doesn't make you “part of a revolution.” The revolution will come when humans start recognizing animals as individuals entitled to their own lives and stop eating them.

are you sure?

Keep drinking the kool aid. Are you aware that you sound like a zealot? Or just because you made a decision, does that mean the rest of the world does too? People like this give vegetarians a bad name.
