The entire country is still chuckling, some even laughing their asses off, over the Obama Seal, the brainstorm (or so they will say) of some anonymous shithead within the campaign (my guess is that Michelle came up with the idea), that has turned into an embarrassment for the candidate whose name has become an embarrassment to the American people.

The Seal reminded me of something a teenage boy running for senior class president would create to maybe impress some girls and get kids to vote for him.

Each new morning brings possibilities to this election campaign, possiblities and anticipation as to just how silly the silly bastard will get before November.

Who ever thought for a moment this was a good idea? Must've been Patti Solis Doyle. These guys are letting things go to their heads in a big way. I thought it was very artistic and inspiring - even to the point where I was thinking maybe George could just take that old one he's mis-used with him when he leaves office and we'll just make a new one. I'm thinking that blue could be just a little bit deeper, though. Otherwise, it looked like a good start.

The old seal is too busy with that bird spread-eagled there with the olive branch in one talon and and a bunch of darts in the other like he can't make up his fucking mind. What is that thing on it's breast - a snowboard? And all them stars floating around like someone just whacked that poor thing upside the head. What the heck are those little bubbles above the stars? It's like Lawrence Welk or something. Anyway, it's too much clutter, too vague, and it doesn't stand for much of anything anymore.

The return of the Obama Seal, or the return of that Jell-O green backdrop McCain used for his kickoff speech to start the general campaign?

For sheer bad political theater, though, nothing beats "Captain Codpiece" prancing around on the deck of an aircraft carrier under the "Mission Accomplished" banner.

In retrospect, it was not one of his better moments.
