pregnancy pact

Any thoughts on this story?

You will note that the only mentions of the "fathers" in this case are in reference to them being potentially up for a statutory rape charge as well as being on the hook for child support.

No mention about what decisions they face. Maybe they want to be involved. Maybe they don't. Maybe this changes their future. Certainly being saddled with child support will change their futures. No mention of the fact that they have essentially no reproductive rights whatsoever beyond keeping it in their pants. If ever there were cases where a father/sperm donor should be able to opt out these would appear to be it.

I wonder why the girls are not up for rape charges for sleeping with their underage boyfriends.

By-the-way, I know there is now some doubt about the pact aspect, although of course the girls would deny it now they are getting flack. As usual, society is ready to be sympathetic and forgiving to those with the XX factor.

Kuruman:

I don't know much about this story. I've heard about it, but haven't really researched it. I'm curious as to how many responses you'll get. I noticed that no one responded to your other post about men's claims of sexual harassment (I'm on the same page as you on this issue). Funny how that happens.

because to reply would be to admit the hypocrisy of the women's movement and the double standard applied to males...
