More straight talk about science...

...from those wonderful folks as www.fstdt.com

You couldn't make this stuff up (well, I guess you could but clearly there’s no need to)

Heat moves electrons around an atom. Without heat, electrons disappear making the atom frozen solid as centuries past by, but without the freezing-like coldness of ice if the atom is inside a rock in warm weather conditions. It is possible that the atoms in inorganic and organic matter can become synchronized when a point in time has been reached, say a 1000 years later for example, the atoms of a 1000-year-old fossilized dinosaur would synchronize with the atoms of the volcanic rock, making the dinosaur as old as the geologic time period - which is wrong. Large numbers of fish fossil have been found on Mt Everest, evidence of the Great Flood assumed by creationists. The movie Journey To The Center Of The Earth made me believe that God's secret is hidden in the earth's core where living dinosaurs and mammoths, swallowed through cave openings, could still exist.

Actually, chemicals do not exist. They are an illusion created by God who sustains His creation. This is evidenced by the fact that the force of gravity is not great enough to hold the planets in their orbits around the sun.

But we can pretend chemicals exist, because the illusion is beyond our ability to phytscally prove otherwise.

NephilimFree,

God had Noah build a ship that could hold every kind of animal in the world. God put dragons and other animals in the ark... because the mother of storms was about to hit. The storm hit, the earth went into convulsions, the underground water shattered the earth's surface, the canopy of water above the earth collapsed. Plants, animals and people were drowned and sandwiched with the dinosaurs into layers of mud and rock, except those dinosaurs that were in the ark were "fruitful and multiplied" like other animals. But now the dinosaurs had a BIG problem, THE AIR HAD CHANGED! Remember those trillions of destroyed plants? They made the air rich with oxygen. And big animals need LOTS of oxygen to survive. In the thinner air it was harder to breathe--they got slower and easier to catch. Now you know how the dinosaurs REALLY died.

I have few questions for you.
Does big bang mades cars?
Does big bang mades Buildings?
Does big bang mades Songs?

Only a divine creator created this beautiful world we live in.
Satan ruin by trick Even and Adam to bring sin in this world.

God's orignal plan was walking among the humans and talk to us like we are his friends.
Thanks to Satan. Jesus had to die to open a new door way to talk to God the Father.

Adopted Abillties to change to the arena that's about it.

If we were in evolution. We would be getting smarter.

We just have to look back what Williams Shakespear wrote.

To me we are not growing smarter.

To anwser this really how is the belief of aliens any more absurd then Jesus Christ? I have to asked you this question.

How come there's has documents about Jesus Christ from the era?

Even the Mulisum believe in Jesus. But they see him as a Prophet.

If you look in they Bible Jesus said that the world was round.

Several generation go by Humans found out the the world was round.

Isn't it strange that the Bible never mentions anything about evolution? Have you ever thought of that, or wondered why? Wouldn't you think that if there was an ounce of truth to evolution, that there would be something written in the Bible that would, even if accidentally, agree with evolution? Could it be that evolution is just a theory to eliminate God and/or gods?

Yes, Evolution has been disproved, but those who believe in the religion of Evolution are unwilling to admit it.

NASA uncovered lots of raw data showing that the moon is only about 10,000 years old, in the late 60's and early 70's and the Evolutionist refuse to admit it.

Many 25 year old Rocks from Mount Saint Helens which blew its lid in 1980 have been tested by "experts" who did not know where the rocks came from and those rocks were consistanly dated as being millions of years old.

And with the mapping of the human DNA completed that was the death blow since there are 10^87 possible DNA codes.

Proving that there has not been nearly enough time if evolution was to have occured on a random basis.

Leap Seconds as well as the fact that the Moon is moving slowly away from the earth is even more proof.

Pastor Art,

So what you are saying is that out of disorder came order. And then order recognized that it came out of disorder. Instead of recognizing itself as a disordered-order; conveniently forgetting its origins and establishing a new foundation. If you've not redefined the laws of logic, at least you've redefined the second law of thermodynamics! Interesting :)

Even so a theory isn't necessarily fact, and this is true of evolution, which is destroyed by modern science and a bag of lies designed to cause people to not believe in God. And that's why the chambers below the Smithsonian are filled with evidence that the Bible is literally true, which will never see the light of day.

I can tell you that evolution is a myth. I realise this every time I watch a wasp/bee/fly/daddy long legs/a.n.other insect try to fly through glass. Again. And again. And again. And - you get my point.

Glass has been around for hundreds of years - so if creatures of this world are evolving, why havent they learnt how to understand glass! Listen wasp, its see through, but its solid, ok?!?!?!! You cant fly through it!!!!!! But they never, ever learn. And therefore they will never "evolve". Because they cant.

Anyway, I think that this is total conclusive ultimate proof that evolution is non-existent.

thetruth,

The theory of evolution is just that, a theory. It has not been proved and it never will be. There is no need to investigate this topic using "science" when it is clearly answered in Genesis. Furthermore, science is a manifestation of the devil fabricated to undermine God and his beautiful gift to all mankind. My advice to you my Christian brother is: Love your god and your country in that order and never doubt the decisions of either.

There is only one true religion. It is Christianity.
There is only one book that knows truth about the world around us – it is Bible.
Evolution is wrong because it contradicts Bible, and therefore it contradicts my faith.
How can you say that Bible is full of lies.
It just shows your total lack of intelligence, because even scientists(great scientists, not you) believe in god.
Bible is a Holy book. There are no mistakes in it.

Evolution is just a part of lame atheist propaganda, face it.
I just KNOW that god exists, I can feel it. I believe in our lord Jesus Christ.

God bless you all.

pity there fantisy worlds. i've read lots of physics and biology books and they are all full of silly misconceptions, for example how can e=mc squared? .... how can you make a square out of the speed of light and times it by mass to give energy? these people need the almighty more than anyone, God bless them!

by there way of thinking if you make a triangle out of gravity and divide it by density it equals temperture

Evolution isn't logical. You have needs, did you ever evolve a single trait to solve one of these needs in your life? After billions of billons of years we have no evolutionary fossil record. When you die? you return to dust right? that's clear. the RIB is logical. DNA of man shows there is a fusion of a chromosonal pair, this could prove to be clear evidence that it is the "rib" God pulled from man and created woman. It certainly would explain the fusion.

Yes, yes, yes...
by Lyger

We all KNOW that Christians are poor benighted fools, deluded by their wicked priests, pastors and prelates, and with about half the sense Coyote gave a cabbage between the entire lot of them. Give one a "Chinese finger trap" and the poor sod will starve to death, and so on...

I know, I know, if they'd just wake up and join the rest of us in the 21st Century (although some would settle for them joining the 11th), we could all move forward to a rational society, or peace, love and enlightenment. (And free cookies - don't forget the free cookies. Chocolate chip, please! Thank you!)

So can we stop mocking them now? Half of those quoted are low-grade remedials who lack the intellect to appreciate our disdain for them, and the more intelligent ones are liable to simply become hostile and defensive. Even those who can look at it in good humor probably resent the broad generalzations involved.

How is this mockery?

Yes, let's give fools a free ride. That makes a lot of sense, particularly when they are voters and feel just superior enough to make the rest of us their dominion.

Sorry, but they deserve to be exposed. They deserve ridicule.

Just want to thank you for being smart, educated, honest, dedicated and infinitely patient. And not carrying a gun...

This may be the most depressing convention of idiocy I've seen in a long time - or at least since the last election. I wouldn't allow any of these people to drive a car or operate heavy machinery. The idea that they are operating an entire nation is a scifi nightmare -

Lonewolf1984 and the unknown author of The Eye of Argon: one and the same?

The Eye of Argon is quality stuff. A sample, for the uninitiated:

The enthused barbarian swilveled about, his shock of fiery red hair tossing robustly in the humid air currents as he faced the attack of the defeated soldier's fellow in arms.

"Tossing robustly in the humid air currents." Mmmmmm. That's quality bad writing.

Re: You're in fandom--tell me

The answer to your first question is... it's not. I'd point, as you well know, to the 'sci fi' aspects of such religions as LDS and Scientology.

And of course, Ezekiel's 'wheel in the sky'.

The Eye of Argon was supposedly written by Jim Theis in 1970, when he was 16. Probably with the help of a thesaurus.... and a faulty memory of word definitions as an aid.

I have seen it completely read, once. mostly by the author Greg Bear. (And we promptly disqualified him, because he was a 'professional' ).

"It was a dark and stormy night; the rain fell in torrents--except at occasional intervals, when it was checked by a violent gust of wind which swept up the streets (for it is in London that our scene lies), rattling along the housetops, and fiercely agitating the scanty flame of the lamps that struggled against the darkness"

or maybe my other personal favorite:

"As he stared at her ample bosom, he daydreamed of the dual Stromberg carburetors in his vintage Triumph Spitfire, highly functional yet pleasingly formed, perched prominently on top of the intake manifold, aching for experienced hands, the small knurled caps of the oil dampeners begging to be inspected and adjusted as described in chapter seven of the shop manual."

I think you are all crazy.

While there were come statements given in this post that I find rediculous, most of them were concerning evelution. The fact that they do not believe we are the product of an accident but are created by God does not make them a threat to anyone. Even the crazier ones are not a threat unless they start mobalizing to outlaw science.

While what they say is crazy, these posts about them are just as insane, and show a greater lack of understanding, tolerance, and have no sense of justice in them.

And frankly, I know of very few Christians who want dominion over anyone else.

Re: You're in fandom--tell me
by shematwater

When viewed from science the belief in Christ as the redeemer is more absurd than a belief in alians. The belief that Christ lived is not, because it is historical fact.

Just out of curiousity, what si-fi are we talking about in the LDS religion?

Re: You're in fandom--tell me
by Wrenn

shema - that subject change ''you're in fandom" was directed at me. Since I am.

I volunteer and run science fiction conventions on the east coast. have for 20+ years.

And to answer you - <shrug> the Larson - Battlestar Galactica - Kobold linking.

But it's immaterial to this. I find the Scientologists 'thetans' so much more amusing. But then, As a fan, I KNOW Hubbard was a second rate pulp sci fi writer.
