Wow
by Greatbear452

Don't any of you people get the idea? The column is called "Low Concept". That should have been a tip off that this was a joke.

Really, there should be a warning label for the humor-impaired.

Re: Wow

I guess that would rule out 80% of the people here. Also; there should be a warning label for "overly sensitive" about negative opinions about obama as well. Seems they can't take it but they sure can dish it out.

I think it's interesting that those with college educations and advanced degrees were more likely to vote for Obama during the primaries than those with some or no college education.

I think the inability to grasp the concept that this article was written with humor is also an indicator of the intelliegence level of some people.

There is almost nothing worse than having to explain to someone what makes something funny. Except maybe a frontal lobotomy with no anesthesia.

Redleopard: You are at the top of the list of the humor-impaired.
Re: Wow
by Greatbear452
I don't think you need a college education to understand that this was a humor piece. Just some good old fashion common sense (something redleopard is lacking). It's not like this was a fairly sophisticated bit of comedy with lost of subtle innuendo. It's more along the lines of the Three Stooges, pie-in-the-face kind of humor.
Re: Wow

Oh I have a sense of humor. Believe me; I'm laughing my ass off at all of these "blind and deluded obama followers". The real humor is seeing all of these "sheeple and easily duped people" out there which beforehand could have cared less about politics but are now coming out in-force because they think a person's skin tone makes them the best man for the job. By the way; the National Enquirer says Elvis is being reincarnated with dark skin and is due to arrive in Graceland any day! Humorous Indeed!
Re: Wow

Greatbear, you're absolutely right.

It's just a shame that common sense can't be taught.

Common sense??? You people??? !!!AH-HA-HA-HA-HA!!!!!!! Now thats funny!
"sheeple and easily duped people"

Now, why did you have go bring the Bush voters into this?

Okay, we get it. You're a one-note troll who thinks that the only reason people are supporting Obama is because he's black. Now, do you actually have an intelligent point to make?

Re: Wow
by reddgrrl

Since I don't read each and every post in the Fray, I can't speak for everyone but there seems to be only one person in this forum who constantly mentions Barack Obama's skin color.

When most people explain their reasons for choosing Obama over other candidates, the mention of his race rarely comes up. So I'm not sure why it matters to anyone.

Me thinks someone has a man-crush and is afraid to admit to it.

Re: Wow
by Greatbear452
You're not missing much by skipping his posts. From what I've read, they all come out of the same playbook. The funny thing is, he'll complain about how people he doesn't like constantly engage in "labelling", even as he applies the same stereotypical labels over and over again.
Re: Wow

Me thinks you should take your "hypocritical butt" back to the rez. That is if you really are a redgrrrl.
Re: Wow

The reason I bring up race & color is because thats the whole drawing card with you nut-case & fanatical obama supporters. Tell me honestly. If obama was a white man, would you people / supporters have been so fanaticle about him? Do you think he would have gotten this far in the campaign? You can't or won't answer that question because deep down you know the truth.

And to prove this further, how many times on this board or in conversations / debates with people who don't support obama do you automatically think they are a racist? Another one of those questions you can't answer.

You see; I like to know whats inside the package before I purchase it or if the nicely-painted & frivolous car being advertised runs well and is dependable.

I'm not "fanaticle"
by Greatbear452

But yes, If he were white, I'd be supporting Obama because he represents the only realistic chance we have to breaking from the past eight years of mismanagement that has been the hallmark of the Bush era. McCain represents a continuation of so many bad policies that I would support a purple komodo dragon over him.

Actually, Richardson was my first choice. I'm supporting Obama because he's the better of the two remaing choices.

Maybe if you tried talking about the issues instead of constanting engaging in name-calling you'd be taken a litlte more seriously. Try asking people what it is about Obama that appeals to them rather than assuming everyone is just this caricature that Hannity described to you.

Re: I'm not "fanaticle"

Look; I don't need a lecture about politics and the reasons behind people's choices. I understand this arena very well. Hence is the reason why I post the things I do. I also know how easily the American voter is swept away in surface facades. If a person truly supports obama or mc cain for what they really stand for then great; at least you are true to your convictions. But when people get all excited about "surface clutter" and don't want to know what lies beneath, then is the time to question their support.

Thats just Good Judgement and Common Sense. Not racist or sexist views.
