While I think McCain would be an awful choice for preznit (especially given the alternative), Ted Sampley (your link's link) is a very dodgy source for criticism of him. He's made McSame his sworn enemy since VN days. He was also in the thick of the Swift Boat Liars' crusade against Kerry as I recall (when McSame actually did show some character in defending Kerry against their lies, having been on the receiving end himself of such atttacks from Sampley for years (decades?)). Though I haven't researched it extensively, my impression is Sampley had Rambo notions about many POW/MIAss left stranded alive that no actual evidence ever supported (the contrary). As I said, that's an impression from limited reading, not deeply researched, so give it what weight you wish, but consider it a caveat.

Anyway, plenty of evidence against McCain's fitness widely available, with new bits reported every day, without looking to a long-standing deep, personal grudgeholder. (imo)

i don't like the link's link, either, but i feel there was legitimate information offered in the links i included. yeah...the one guy is frothing wingnut, but this guy acknowledged that, and it appears he pulled verifiable information from there only.

i think mccain's conduct towards many of these family members this was unacceptable, and i am suspicious about his reasons for blocking their access to information about their sons, fathers, and brothers.

This McCain should have his medical records vetted to the extent that his wounds can be classifies as from or prior to his being a POW. His disdain for other POWs, his rank need for pulling rank wherever he is..and smarmy behavior as a POW..made me think of William Holden in Stalag 17, (war movie of 1953) although McCain was not preventing an excape from the camp he was in..McCain certainly was NOT his brother's keeper. He was a shit then as he always was. Time simply cements the lies around this manufactured maverick. He was a brown nosing POW and now, he is a brown noser to the Bush administration. Spoiled boys must srick together after all. ..And he is no friend to the Veterans. He has all the top notch medical care and money that he will ever need.Empathy?
