You don't remember anything at all?

Can I have some more milk please?

What did you learn in circle time?

Annabelle wasn't in school today.

Uh, yeah, I didn't ask that, I said what...

Can I have more milk please?

Are you going to finish your chicken nuggets?

I'm not hungry.

What did you lea...

I see the conversations don't get any easier...best of luck Jeff.

Really? Is that all you saw? Thank someone, for that conversation, that defined differences, showed courage, respect, much love AND equality...wow I wish I could have that conversation with my father.

Smarty:

Go into your closet, way in the back, open the trunk, look in the bottom and pull out your sense of humor.

Jesus H. Christ.

Quite obviously, assuming the emails are real, the back and forth between the Greenfields is unbelievably fantastic. As I was reading them I was laughing, thinking about the conversations I have with my daughter, who just turned 6. It was funny and poignant for me, to think about (and hope for) the possibility of such rich exchanges with my daughter in the future. Jeff's daughter challenges and perhaps even exasperates him in a completely different way that mine right now obviously, which also struck me as cute and poignant.
