one in five Hillary backers were GOP to begin with
by swingstates
Hillary drew centrist and right-wing females who have reverted to their party of choice. Good riddance.

At least his statement is plausible, unlike most of your unsubstantiated, rants.

Moderates swing either way and have 100's of reasons (excuses) for going for either party.

However, women in either party were probably pretty excited about a female candidate. Could they, would they, switch party to vote for a woman? Makes sense to me.

How many people from Texas voted for Bush because he was from Texas? How many African Americans are going to vote for Obama because he's black...........here's the key question...how many whites are going to vote for McCain not because of the issues but because he's white? That's going to be the key to this election because most voters don't study the issues. They vote with their heart, their prejudices, what their church tells them, what their spouse tells them, what their community tells them, or what the TV tells them.

And don't forget Hillary Clinton was first a Republican, from a Republican family.

Why won't Hillary supporters be happy to see a competent female VP if Obama decides to select one-- someone with whom he would relate more comfortably? It doesn't seem to promote women's advancement if Hillary supporters claim that it MUST be Hillary and NO other woman. It seems like there's a lot of "daring" going on. I can't see how that's good for female politicians aspiring for the presidency, or a VP role, in the future.
