Executive Privilege
by TheEdge

The most amazing part of this whole grab for power is that many of these people in the Bush Whitehouse also worked as young people for the Nixon administration. They learned the ropes from the very people that left in disgrace.

They've never given up on a republican emperior for this country.

Congress is a morass with Ms. Polosi intent on building her own empire and not confronting the executive excesses.

As many knowledgable observers have written from both parties, our system is badly broken and corrupt. How can it be fixed?

1 big mass grave will just about fix it. Then the next corruption laden regime will think a little more about who they are suppose to be working for---oh thats right they become political theives because they don't want to work, as their employer (as we all pay) I say fire them--take away their health insurance--take away their free vacations--take away what they might have gotten for a retirement package( give it to me I'd be happy with it) and throw their sorry asses in jail where they all belong.

It is hard for anyone to think that any of the decisions, discussions and notes about meetings between Cheney and the Oil Companies, Miers and Bolton's discussions about the Federal Attorneys were above board. Other wise there would be little need to keep them from Congress.

Executive Privilege my ass, it is the protection of Bush's ass.No doubt in my mind that he would be in favor of a lot of shit that he does not want public.Hell, what he has done in public is so bad that whatever he wants to hide from Congress must be really damning!

Bush has pretty much told on himself when he said that he would be long gone before any body could find out what really went on in his administration.

May he R.I.H.

how? very easy. an effective and accessible power of citizen initiative would straighten out washington. how to get it?

email every candidate running in your electorate: "want my vote? establish cir."

of course, this requires a large group of citizens to act. sending an email, and following up with a vote, may be beyond the attention span of the american voter.

you get the government you deserve. act like cattle, be treated like cattle.

It is said that Mr. Obama has gotten many previously uninterested people involved in politics. If so, perhaps enough citizens will become outraged and the Uprising David Sirota writes about will actually occur.

That is we can fix the system.

And those who do not learn from history tend to repeat it. Ask Rumsfeld and Cheney as they learned from history to hide the bad and repeat the lie until it is believed.
