Weak leader

By not asking Clinton to be his VP, Obama shows a weak leadership. He does not have the great leadership and confidence to surround himself with people with equal or greater skills. Surrounding himself with yes-people is another Bush's 1st term.

This makes absolutely no sense. How is Kathleen Sebelius a yes-person? And, what makes Clinton a person with equal or greater skills than Obama?

Clinton ran on her experience. She had the best people in her campaign, the most money, the most name recognition and the most favorable press coverage from 12/06-12/07, the highest poll numbers, and yet she did not will the nomination. Since January, she has run a terrible campaign and all of this experience that she had she used on this campaign.

What sort of cheese would you like with that whine?

It's also a weak leader who responds to childish name calling, by being bullied into an action, for no other reason than to appease the name caller. No one would have any respect for a President Obama under those cirsumstances, and more than likely, Clinton supporters in Congress would attempt to undermine him, thinking him too weak to stand up to them. And it's unlikely that a Vice President Clinton would move to support him under those circumstances, as then they would turn on her, too.

Your point seems to be that Senator Clinton brings things to the ticket that no-one else can. Okay. I suppose that's true. Do the free world a favor - name them. Rather than constantly whining that required skills are being left on the table - tell us what they are.

This has become a common refrain among Hillary partisans. Rather than frame a well though out, cogent argument for their candidate, they fall back on a bitter complaining, born of a sense of entitlement. This does a disservice to Senator Clinton, as it implies that she hasn't even managed to impart her strengths to those that support her most ardently.

Hillary got beat. Her and her followers need to shut their cake holes and get on board.

Agreed! If the die hard Hillary supporters really believe in what Hillary Clinton stands for, they have to vote for Obama in November. Voting another Republican into office for revenge is so counter productive.

I would be truly surprised if Hillary Clinton had NO role in an Obama administration. It just doesn't have to be Vice President.

I think Sibelius would be a good choice, as would Jim Webb. But as Obama says, the Veep has to be someone he is comfortable with and that is something Democratic voters should respect.

If not one already, look for more of this.

Repub posers (or the last few redoubts of Hillary cultists...but probably more likely cons) attacking Obama from the "friendly side of the aisle"...especially if he doesn't choose Hilalry as Veep.

Don't buy it...these folks have NO GOOD in store with their "helpful advice".

Straight out of the Republican handbook, circa 2000.

As if. You're screwed.

Still whining about the Clinton popular vote issue raven?

Senator Obama needs to start with a fresh slate. Polls this weekend already show he is pulling away from McCain, and without a VP choice yet announced.

Hillary represents everything Old. The same old politics, the same old political cronies, the same old polarizing arguements, the same old Bill Clinton philandering distractions, the same old, same old. We have had a Bush or a Clinton on the ticket since 1980. God help us if we can't shake loose of these two family political dynasties, and start putting the needs of the nation before the needs of these old political hacks.
