Maybe I could vote for McCain
by differnetEllen

This makes me think that I will at least be considering voting for McCain if Carly Fiorina is his running mate. By the way, she sounds like a VP, "Not a single vote for be taken for granted. In particular, a woman's vote shouldn't be taken for granted." I wonder if Howard Dean is listening? Probably not.

I am a woman...

and I don't think my vote has been taken for granted any more than any one else.

I will say I could never think of voting for McCain (there is that war thingy and all) even if he ran with Mother Theresa but hey that is what makes the world go around. Best of luck to you.

I can't vote for someone

that said there are no glass ceilings. I definitely cannot vote for McCain.

That war thing is all but over. What alternative Obama offers is based on his not visiting Iraq in over two years. He still believes that there is good reason to "surrender" and leave in shame.

There are too many reasons not to vote for McCain.

Ooops, Too many reason to only vote for McCain.

Since the war is over, according to you, there will be no surrendering and leaving in shame. The will be a sensible withdrawal of troops from the Iraqis' country.
Are you kidding?

Look either it is going to be permanent military presence or all and out ethic cleasnsing. What a wonderful choice. Yeah I guess it is all but over.

Well, even if I don't, this will

play very well for many women who are feeling disaffected from the Democratic Party.

I know you are very serious person so I have a very serious question for you. | have been reading a lot of what the women have to say about this election. Doing that I have come across what you had to say also. You mentioned many times bread and butter issues. I am not sure how you would think McCain, especially if you read his tax plan, deals with bread and butter issues, but also, why are gender and race seen to diverge in this conversation when they are much more convergent?

I know all about what stockley said as well, but the fact is we are not in the sixties anymore and also many women minority women know all about single parenthood and quite a bit about bread and butter issues. And in spite Stokley's hubris, the situation of black men in our society is a point of shame. Have you seen the incarceration rates, the early death rates? What it is one out of seven serves time? I am a white women and that is a huge issue to me. Do you not think this is not an issue for black women as well? If they raise sons are they supposed to ignore the odds?

I refuse to think that feminsim only has to do with me and what affects me and I don’t think you believe that either. I think you are pissed off right now and that is okay too. Let's not work at odds if we don't have to. It won't serve anyone in the end.

Carly was booted out as CEO of Hewlett Packard. Great reference for economic advisor.

I think healing would be a reality...

...if Hillary were to get the VP slot. You know, this election was so very close, it should have made this a co-presidency of some kind. Half of the Democratic Party won everything, the other half got nothing, even getting the back seat would mean something.

I don't see this going away anytime soon, and Obama has been handed the power to fix it...

so fix it!

First, you don't know me

So, I'm going to clue you in a bit. I'd never vote for McCain. But what I'm trying to get people to think about is the damage done by Dean, Brazile and Obama.

And, OH PLEASE, you trot out how bad life is for black men. Do you have any idea what it's like for women?!? One in 4 or 5 (depending upon the source of your statistics) are sexually assualted before age 24. Women are most likely to be killed by their husbands and boyfriends. 40 years after women's rights, women still only make 75 cents for every dollar a man makes. You want to play bleeding heart liberal. Fine, let's play. While you are worrying about 7 percent of the population (many who are incarcerated by "self-inflicted wounds"), I'm worrying about 52% of the population. What about black women's daughters. Are sons so important that we should write off the daughters. Very nice.....

I'm not pissed off. I'm a freaking activist. The Dems should have won this election as a no brainer. But Dean and Brazile have outsmarted themselves. They annoited Obama and stood by with the thumbs up their asses while Clinton and her supporters were denigrated and then disenfranchised. Obama and his supporters had better well figure out a way to fix the mess or we are all screwed.

And the video I posted, proves that the Republicans are going to hit the Dems where it hurts. The dissaffeced voters THEY created.

She was "booted out" because of the

debt structuring of the Compaq buy (some say it was really the opportunity that the men's club of the board was searching for to get rid of the uppity woman). However, history has proven Fiorina right. Her purchase of Compaq has created market conditions where HP is now has the largest market share of business computers. It's stealing market share from Dell and Gateway is virtually gone off the map. She was right. Her gambit worked. Anyone who follows business would tell you that. So, you've given the wrong arguement.
Well, I guess she needs a job

Chairman of the board was another woman, Patricia Dunn, right?

<link>

I wasn't there for the vote of the board
by differnetEllen

were you? Oh and a woman couldn't possibly be a sexist. Hmmm....

But hey, her severence package made her so wealthy she can now devote herself to improving the country.
