It's not you it's me
by Beaujoe
+1 Reply

I (Obama) was nominated specifically as an alternative to you. I would not have been nominated if the vast majority of the base of EVERY OTHER candidate had not coalesced around me.

Fairly or unfairly, rightly or wrongly, many (perhaps most) of my supporters would consider it a betrayal of their very votes for me to nominate you for Vice-President.

Yes, I would be just as obligated to represent your supporters as the Democratic nominee as I would be to represent mine, but at the same time how can I say to my voters that they made the right choice if I turn around and endorse the choice that they rejected.

I'm sorry Hillary, it's not you, it's me, and whether you or anyone else agrees with them. I have to stick to my principles.

Very nicely stated.

As long as you're here, who do you think would make a suitable Vice President?

Whenever somebody says "it's not you"...

...It's you.
Actually "it's not you"...
by pbev
.... means, "It IS me not liking YOU".

I (Obama) was nominated specifically as an alternative to you. I would not have been nominated if the vast majority of the base of every other candidate had not bought into my pretty speeches and empty promise of change. If I were white my bullshit would have been much more obvious, but since I am black I am largely untouchable because to point out my faults will earn you an accusation of racism. Political correctness has tied your hands, voices, and minds from speaking out against me.

Most of my supporters have been so thoroughly blinded by me, my pretty speeches and my empty promises. They hate you so deeply that they would consider it a betrayal of their worship of me to even consider nominating you for Vice-President. After all, your beliefs are contrary to my pretty speeches and empty promises and that makes you the enemy.

Yes, I would be forced to acknowledge your supporters for the sake of appearances, but in reality I care even less for them than I do my own supporters. In the end all I really care about is having power and control over others. I will say and do whatever I can to garner as many votes as I can. I will lie and make implications about my opponent, I will deny my own faults, I will deny my friendships and associations with people that helped get me where I am today, and I will make any promise I can think of that will make you like me enough or hate my opponent enough for you to vote for me. If it sounds good and might fool people I will say it and do so with passion and conviction, regardless of how I may feel. Please, don’t mention my hateful, racist, radical, domestic and foreign terrorist friends. I may have known them most of my life, helped them fund their various programs and projects, accepted money from them for my campaigns, and knowingly helped them funnel money to Islamic terrorist groups such as Hamas, but I do not share their views. I’m really hoping you buy that.

I’m happy to see you go Hillary since I am now one step closer to gaining the power I want. I will smile, commend your accomplishments, and do what I can to try and gain the support of your voters, but in the end you were in my way. I will tell everyone what my principals are, but only those of you that actually pay attention and read about my past that I am trying so hard to bury will know the truth.

Actually Obama has quite a bit of policy substance, in fact it is nearly IDENTICAL to the policy Hillary laid out.

Now if you have two candidates with the same policies, why shouldn't you choose the one you think has the finesse, team building skills, public speaking skills, and honesty and commitment to making the world a better place to accomplish those policies?

I would recommend all HiIliary supporters who are upset read the Aesop Fable of the Fox and the Sour Grapes. Its message is one we can ALL learn from.

Why not Carolyn Kennedy for VP? She has no baggage (Bill) she's a Kennedy (great brand name) and, very importantly, she's a woman. Hillary's (women) supporters would gladly embrace her and Hillary would possibly be a distant memory within a relatively short period...

Marsha Blackburn, Elizabeth Dole, Tim Pawlenty, Colin Powell, and Jim DeMint would all make decent Vice Presidents, on the Republican ticket of course. I don’t see anyone on the left side of the aisle that I would be happy with.

While Obama and Hillary are both hardcore liberals, Obama’s economic plans are carbon copies of Jimmy Carter’s, which turned out to be a disaster. The 4 years that Carter was in office turned out to be the worst 4 of the last 50 years. Do we really want to see that again? The fact is I don’t want either to win, but I think Bema would do far more damage to the country than Clinton would have done.

“Now if you have two candidates with the same policies, why shouldn't you choose the one you think has the finesse, team building skills, public speaking skills, and honesty and commitment to making the world a better place to accomplish those policies?”

While many of their stated policies are the same, Obama is the one with the long laundry list of associated criminals, thugs, racists, radicals, and domestic and Islamic terrorists as friends and associates. Clinton may be a crook, but she’s not disloyal to the United States. The fact that Obama has the ability to make pretty speeches and empty promises does not make him qualified or worthy of the vote. His team building skills have been among those that agree with him, which is why his campaign team is largely made up of NOI members and other racists and radicals. Honesty and Obama do not belong in the same sentence. If you believe that the man is honest then you have not been paying attention and you need to do some research into whom and what he is. He wants to make the world a better place for blacks (the only race he cares about), racists, radicals, subversives, dissidents, terrorists, and enemies of the United States.

The Aesop Fable is actually the Fox and the Unripe Grapes, with the idea that the Fox would come back later. Sour is a mistranslation.

I agree 100%! We do not want the Jimmy Carter Nightmare. Did you like the 22% & up interest rates on loans & mortages, good luck trying to pay off your college loans with those rates. How about being asked to freeze your butt off in your home? Did ya like standing in line for gas? Did ya like it that he took the limit off petrolium prices? I did not like the Jimmy Carter days so I supported Hillary. All these other dummies thought we were voting on American Idol! God Help America, this generation has it going to H......
