obama supporters ought to remember as they are wagging their butts at us hillary supporters

is that obama only got half of the democratic vote and hillary got the other half....OBAMA HAS NO MANDATE

so if you guys think you can win WITHOUT us hillary voters...you really DONT know that much about politics

please quit dispresecting hillary

she derserves much better

especially from her fellow democrats

The interesting thing to me about this argument it that Clinton, had she earned the nomination, would have been in the exact same situation. Sure half of of the party supported her....and half didn't. Clinton supporters are quick to say Obama can't win without them, well she couldn't have won without Obama supporters either. It isn't like she would have swept in and garnered 100% of the Democratic vote come November. Just like some Clinton supporters will never vote for Obama, there are those like myself (though I am not a Democrat) who never would have voted for Clinton. I fail to see how his win is such a tragedy for the party and the election.

Mandate? Barack Obama isn't running to be the president of the Democratic Party. The only mandate that matters is the one that Barack Obama gets or doesn't get in November. Towards that end we Democrats had better soon stop our fratricidal infighting.

For some time now I have been predicting that Hillary Clinton will use her considerable leverage to negotiate a unity ticket. But with each passing day a unity ticket is looking better and better on its own merits.

So what do do say, dems rock? If Obama puts Clinton on the ticket, will you put down your bludgeon?

Obama/Clinton 08!

Frankly, I don't think the vice presidency is a good spot for Clinton. She's more powerful as a Senator and will probably succeed Harry Reid as the majority leader of the Senate. Similarly, I don't think Obama has much to gain from Clinton being on his ticket. While the blogosphere audience, which is disproportionately representative of select minority groups concentrated in certain regions, is clamoring for the idea, I think a lot of the people who supported Clinton in the primaries did not do so out of genuine affection for her candidacy. In other words, I don't think a lot of said voters are going to suddenly back Obama because Clinton is on the ticket.

In other words, the unity ticket is a losing proposition for both parties.

I have been an Obama supporter from the start in part. However, I do not now nor have I ever said or thought disparaging things about her. I saw her speak in 1995 and wished she were running instead of Bill. She is an amazing woman. I think it is important that we don't spend time and energy polarizing each other.

McCain is the enemy. You don't like the things Obama/his supporters have said? How about this one from McCain in 1998.

"Do you know why Chelsea Clinton is so ugly?
Janet Reno is her father."

<link>

I lived in AZ at the time and will always remember this nasty comment. Insult your opponent? I can live with that. Not pretty, but that is politics. Call a teenage girl ugly? That is beneath contempt.

And for all of those feminists that want to now vote for McCain, remember he is the man who called us wife a "cunt" and "trollup" in public! Yeah, he is a real good choice for feminists! <link>

Have you considered the possibility that the Clinton bashers are Rovian operatives and not Dems at all?

Some other Rove tactics

a) For a senate race in TX, he got himself hired by the Dem team, stole their stationary and distributed invitations to a fundraising event to the homeless.

b) In one of the southern states, he got someone to put leaflets on car windows that stated that John McCain fathered in illigitimate "black baby." McCain and his wife had actually adopted a dark skinned child from a war-torn country (don't remember which one).

After publicly expressing his disgust with Rove and his ilk, McCain is now getting support and advice from Rove. Another indication that whatever cred. McCain had, he has sold his soul to win the Presidency.

A word of advice, beware of Rovian Trolls in Obama clothing.
