Post Script, Hillary Rodham Clinton After Wellesley

Post Script, Hillary Rodham Clinton After Wellesley
Part of the problem with empathy with professed goals
is that empathy doesn't do us anything. -HRC at Wellesley

Empathy is for losers, not for me..
Why glory in a winner who is not me..
This is old writing on the wall
and I won’t be held in thrall
to any he.

Once a long time ago at Wellesley
in spite of any setbacks I dared to dream,
and my old dream? It was for me
and I never did expect
pie from the sky.

My mother knew me well in what she said,
”I’ll always love you,” (she liked to speak her mind)
but she told me that, “there are times
when.
."(And this I always knew
Harsh but quite true) ..

I had it in me to defy all odds
and find guidance and help from a winning god..
”But there are times I won’t like you,”
are the words my mother said;
I made my bed.

It isn’t love I want, it is power.
There’s nothing like followers held in your hand,
anger I can guide for a win..
Hope to crush like a flower..
Mine to control.

Now there stands a man who has what is mine,
he dared to claim victory before the end..
But I still have cards up my sleeve
and the voters who believe
I am their friend.

How sweet to watch him as I call the shots,
demand chivalry while refusing him praise..
He must know this is just one phase
of the platform I will raise
to show my worth.

If he refuses to hear my demands
and thinks he can win without me by his side,
he’ll lose it all to John McCain..
And I would watch happily
his fall to earth.

What is sad is that Hillary still, these many years after her speech at Wellesley, she is still the same young woman devoid of the empathy needed to be be a whole person as evinced and demonstared in how she ran her campaign..of inuendo and thinly veiled appeal to racism while crying 'sexism' when she felt her disadvantage growing in the polls.

Her counting of votes is also like counting the votes of the dead..claiming victory and votes where Obama wasn't even listed on the ballot.

I sincerely hope that she will not be Obama's Vice-President, though she must want it badly..If she can't be the first woman President..Being the first woman Vice-President would also make history.

If this woman had as much empathy as she has ambition, I think she would have seen the prospect of war in Iraq as REAL..with lives at stake, not just a political fellowship game that had so many giving Bush the green light to attack Iraq..As she certainly did, no foresight or judgment on her part, just a sing along with Bush moment. Beyond sad and tragic. Even her probable assumption that once given power, someone like Bush wouldn't use it (LOL)..as he did to America's shame.

Oh, how quickly spin is applied these days to comments taken out of context.

What Hillary Clinton was saying, is that empathy is not enough. As my mother says, "You can't just pray all the time; you have to do something about the problem or injustice."

Empathy is 'not enough' ..but if it was true empathy and not an offshoot of fantasy participation and sentimentalized feeling of another's feelings or plight..Empathy would be the partner of a sincere activism. To diminish empathy in any way is to become a detached clinician..an academic doer who uses mass stereotyping in which 'feeling' and 'empathy' become the opposite of what they were originally meant and purported to be.

Hillary is a very selective feeler..She feels what elevates her, agrees with her and what will feed her power. Once upon a time she may have imagined what empathy meant, but her initial embracing of a dichotomy between empathy and activism opened her path to activism to whatever purpose..ambition, projects..but cut off from the broader human spectrum. She is a slot thinker..and the stereotypical grooves she dug with innuendo and the exploitation of 'psychological voting blocks’..educated/uneducated/poor/racial and all the rest of it..have given me permission to put her in the 'bitter' barrel she staved so beautifully at Obama's expense.

Talk about 'distortion.' Hillary's mind now dresses for success, sans 'empathy,' she can say anything..and not mean it at all. She has finally found her 'voice,' the one of the political chameleon whose feelings are totally self directed and tooled for the manipulation of others.

I must be missing something, Artemesa. Why do you keep putting 'A' at the bottom of your posts? Are you giving yourself an 'A' as if to say "I'm so smart, I deserve an A" something like that?

You know what's funny is that XX and the like I presumed to be a female issues based discussion, you know, the chromosome thing. That's the title right? Yet, it really seems to me that XX is very disproportionately addressed by people such as Doo-dah man and Artemesa here, obviously both men, who remind one no of no less than Gary Busey wasn't it with Dan Akroid on that Sat. Night Live "Women's Problems" skit...featuring only men..." they get ugly when they get old! said Garret, so you need to find another one. and don't forgot what happens about once a month...you don't want to be around them...

Is that the empathy to women you have in mind, Artemesa? (stupid Hillary-hating nutcase).

Ms VirginiaSlims..Obviously brainwashed and groupified..As your voice represents a claque, I read your post as written by no one at all.
