i'm a diehard celtics fan, but i think la is the better team because it had a tougher road to till in its path to the finals and because of kobe bryant.

That's why the games are played. At this point, either team can go all the way.

As far as bias, I'm sure there is some, simply because ref's are human too. I seriously doubt anyone in this day and age, is conciously making calls based on anything other than the rules. The subconcious though, may be an other matter. The author himself is letting some bias show, by focusing more on white refs and the number of white players on each team. But hey, he is human also.

Until we perfect the robo ref, there will always be a human element in the game.

Uh, Vlad Rad is white, so that's two starters. His back-up, Luke Walton, is white (and American). Sasha Vujacic is white. Farmar is light skinned. All of them, with the exception of Farmar, get a ton of minutes. So at most points in the game the Lakers will likely have at least one, and as many as four, white guys on the floor.
