By not conceding defeat, Hillary is using blackmail against Obama. She is saying: Make me your vice-president or I will continue to fight for the nomination. THis is vintage Clinton political ruthlessness.

It's not clear that she even wants the VP nomination. Sen. Clinton is most likely figuring out what she wants now, and whether she can get it, and how she's going to end her campaign and support the nominee. It won't be easy since this was the most closely contested primary in the modern era. Give her a little room.

I keep hearing - "let her figure out what she wants." Certainly she had a plan B from the beginning. Certainly she had to have some space in her mind allowing for a loss, and what that would mean. The writing has been on the wall. We like to say that with her, nothing is accidental, but maybe that is wrong, and she truly is adrift.
