Clinton for VP? -- Hell NO!!!
by gparks

Sen Clinton is toxic as VP!

The ClintonS ... there are two of them ... have TOO much baggage, are too devisive, an can NOT keep to message.

Let Sen Clinton "work her heart out" for the Democratic ticket as promised ... then "work her heart out" as Senator of New York to get President Obama's legislation passed.

Drive a stake through her heart

I second the message. Hillary on the ticket would lose more voters than she would gain -- and wouldn't Obvama love to run with someone who already has said she is waiting for him to get killed? The CLintons need to be flushed from the body politic.

Josh Patashnik over at the New Republic kind of made me rethink my own vitriol towards Hills:

I don't think the dream ticket will come to pass. But all I care about at this point is what will win the election in November. If that means dream ticket, fine. I want some d*** health care reform!

health care plan?
by nazcalito
Hillary's health care plan was just posturing. She wanted to keep the insurance companies in the loop and have health care for everyone. It wouldn't have worked - too expensive. The only way to have that kind of coverage would be a Canadian-type single payer plan.

The latest SurveyUSA poll has John Edwards as VP pulling in the most votes for Obama, not really a big surprise.

He would be the 'safe' choice--and the one my spouse mentioned. didn't help Kerry get any states last time though. Would he do better this time?

Miande ! Hi ,yes if she ran on his ticket,it would totally ruin her ! I don't know why anyone would want to associate themselves with the muslim loving obama ! She had many more votes than him.If she joined him,i'm sure her numbers would fall !! He just kinda sputtered over the finish line ! Maybe he's like that in bed too ! Strong start, sloppy finish ! poor poor michelle !!!!!

Maybe Hillary should have sputtered over the finish line too. We would now be holding our noses and congratulating her as our nominee, even though we disapprove her unfair methods.

This is the only part of your post that is worth replying to.

reddawg's comments are truly offensive and have no place in the political conversation. If this is typical of McCain or even Clinton supporters, we never wanted their votes anyway. This kind of comment belongs in the "dustbin of history."

I vote to keep him here. Who can say it's not a colorful use of language he has? Some appreciate things like that. I disagree strongly about the violence against Hillary subject line though. thumbs down on that.

Edwards sounds like a logical choice for VP. I would not hold 2004 against him. John Kerry just was a poor candidate. It's not that he was not a smart or good man, but he was about as inspirational as a rock, and I don't mean in a good way. It was a Blue State/Red State coin flip, and the coin came up tails (Insert your own Dubya joke here)

hey real slim k ! thanks for the vote ! i'm not sure who started the "violence" comment on Hillary ! not me ! I wish she would go ahead and run independently now ! Her fighting spirit all the way to Montana was very impressive !

Hillary knows better than that. She knows for a fact that running as an independent will forever damage her. As a matter of fact, she will lose everything, including her senate seat. She is where she is today because of the Democratic Party and its nationwide machinery, and as soon as that base is gone she will be nothing but history.

While I wouldn't support the idea of driving a stake through her (or anyone's) heart for that matter, I would say that she has lost all respect, at least in my own reckoning. It is very arrogant of her to use her votes as a bargaining chip for ther presidential slot. I can bet my next lunch: Obama will not pick this woman as his running mate. She is the least qualified, 18 million votes or no.

Just like Clinton, her supporters live in "FANTASY-LAND".Examples: "I have the most popular votes,I have the most electoral votes,I'm the most electable-I'm the only one who can beat McCain(oh,but I couldn't even beat Obama) and yada, yada, yada"!!!!! Now we have this "pseudo" movement of her running some independent ticket when "she" knows that you must have filed way before now and had lots of signatures, not to mention money to do this;something she does not have!!! My biggest problem with Hillary is she never told her supporters the truth-that she had very little chance of winning after March, and that her objective was to hurt Obama. She made you think victory was on the horizon, and it was everyone else's fault that it didn't happen! She even has you thinking voting for McCain would be"OK".For these things I will never forgive her.
