Call your superdelegates now!
by East Mass
-3 Reply
Last call for November victory! Tell your state's supers to publicly announce for Hillary NOW. Obama can take at most 12-15 states in the fall, for a variety of reasons we all know about, and most likely some we don't. Turn the great Democratic vessel away from the iceburg. We don't need another McGovern or Vallandigham. Grab your computers, grab your phones, grab your telegraph key, grab your pencils, open your windows and shout over to city hall. Save yourselves tonight!

What is wrong with your head. If the supers wanted any part of the Clinton duo "yea that means Billy also" they would have already done so, to try to keep things close.

As it stands only a small handful of misguided delusional supers came to her aid. Where are the rest of them? Who would you call?

Hillary's say and do anything campaign stratagy may have got her the racest vote but it chased more people away, than it brought in. Im sure you have been keeping track, just how many supers have came out and said they are proud of the kitchen sink stratagy. How about the working ,hard working white american remark. Or what about dodging sniper fire, did they all praise her for that one? Or what about the coup de grau her insistance that she is staying in the race because Kennedy was asassinated during thre primaries WINK WINK NOD NOD.

It sure seems to me that all of these supers would be waiting in line right now to support her if it was their intention to try to save this flawed candidate.

Shame on you for making fun of Hillary and her supporters this way. This is a time of deep sorrow and humiliation for her.

Making fun?

Where?

Hillary fought hard for the nomination, sometimes using tactics that were slightly the other side of being ethical. She proved herself to be what we've always known her to be, a talented political infighter who could drop her elitist origins and get down in the gutter and fight with the best of them. Her problem is not that she's white, not that she's female, and not that she's brilliant - quite simply, she's not particularly likeable or trustworthy. Many votes for Obama were votes AGAINST Hillary - I know mine was. And her supporters, particularly Harold Ickes and Geraldine Ferraro, are enough to send shivers up your spine. When they speak for the campaign, it's like scraping chalk on a blackboard - they're unfair, shrill, intransigent, and biased. They represent the worst of the old politics, with a strong tinge of "play it my way, or I'll pick up all my marbles - and maybe yours too - and go home."

I was referring to the original posting by East Mass, which I read as satire. At this point it's all just kicking Hillary while she's down and there's no need for that anymore. I know it's hard to resist.

Oh, forgot about the likablity factory. Lets see, for a women to be president, she must be experienced but not old; Nice but also smart, strong but also feminine, confident but not showy. Easy on the eyes, but not slutty; likable but not opinionated. Sounds like a man's wet dream.

'Cause we all know how easy on the eyes Margaret Thatcher was.

joni ... How about ... be a nice person!

Sen Clintons speech to night was about "her" ... AND THAT IS THE problem!

Sen Obama on the other hand DID NOT meantion himself or the FACT that HE is the 1st NON-WHITE person in the history of the USA to have a shot at being its Leader!

It is even bigger when you consider 200 years ago THIS country was importing African peoples to be forced into slavery, 134 years ago US slavery ended, 34 years ago civil rights legislation allow ALL people to vote ... AND ... NO WESTERN NATION in 1000 years of world history has had a person of African desent in position to run in an election for leadership of that nation!!!

Did Sen Clinton MISS this??? I think not ... she just cares about herself!

Won't fly, Joni, despite the sexist shot about wet dreams ( or does sexism only cut in one direction?) And what makes you assume I'm a male?

Bill wasn't all that likeable or trustworthy, either. Have you forgotten his sexism?

His one great advantage was that he was our party's chosen nominee, despite his baggage. Many of us avoided him like the plague in the primaries. And yet, contrary to the threats of the more rabid Hillaryites, I, and many others, voted for him in the general election. It would never have crossed our minds to vote for Bush 41, or for Dole, or for (shudder!) McCain.

Hillary is not our nominee.

Did you say Hillary is down? I bet she's the last to admit it. The first thing a person who is down should do is ADMIT it, and RECOGNIZE the victor. That is the only way to logically expect some respect and graciousness from the victor. Japan was spared further bombing when it surrendered. Imagine if the japanese government remained defiant after bombs were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki? Maybe there will be no more japan today. But japan admitted it was beat, and it recognized the victor. Then, and only then did the US stopped the pumelling.

WHile I admit this race for delegates is not anywhere close to a real war, the principles are the same.

But as long as the loser is kicking and screaming "I am still in the game! I am the better fighter! I am better and stronger than the nominee!" we cannot but give her the knockout punch. Unfortunately, Obama has been extra gracious to her and to McCain.

Clinton's defeat did NOT happen yesterday; it has been months in the works and she knew it, so there is no reason to act shocked. The real fact is, Clinton has this disgusting sense of entitlement, and it is really annoying. Probably no couple alive today has benefited from the American dream more than the Clintons. Yet, they simply cannot see that their time has passed and it is time for the next generation.

Clinton needs to admit defeat, and recognize the winner. She will never be the president of the United States---just like the rest of 99.99% of hard working Americans of all races. That is a fact she needs to get used to. Unlike the rest of us however, she will always be the former first lady and the NY senator. For that she should be grateful.

OBAMA 08!
