Many recent posts on BOTF have been about how BOTF used to be great and now sucks. Maybe that’s true I don’t know. Some BOTFraysters say that the editors are far away and don’t actively administer BOTF. Perhaps this is also true.

I think the problem is that all of you are too focused on the candidates for POTUS instead of running for, campaigning for or voting for the POBOTF. Because what we need on BOTF is a democratically elected leader with the vision to return the BOTF to its former glory.

So who do you think should be a candidate for POBOTF (President of the Best of the Fray)? Who do you think their VPOBOTF (Vice President of the Best of the Fray) should be? What would their party be called? What would their platform be? (It would have to be made up of policies that would make sense in a world where we’re all really just words in little yellow boxes—so maybe: “no cunt jokes,” “stem the immigration of Ballot Boxers into BOTF,” “no cut and pastes,” “the right to post links,” etc.)

Who else do you think would run besides your choice for POBOTF and what do you think their platform would be?

Who would the nine BOTFrayers be that you would appoint to the Supreme Court of the Best of the Fray (SCOBOTF) who would ensure that the Fray Rules were being observed? Who would the chief justice be? What do you think the big issues before the SCOBOTF would be?

Who else do you think should be in the BOTF government? Secretary of Defense Against Trolls?

And again, if you respond to this post remember that this is BOTF, not the USA. So a real life person named Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton or John McCain couldn’t be elected POBOTF. And your platform couldn’t include the right to an abortion or the right to bear arms because those policies don’t make sense in a world where we’re all just words on a page.

So, in my role as Ambassador to the UN I would basically be making sure that BOTF has a permanent seat on the Slate Board of Editors, and veto power over admissions applications from other Frays, right?

Also - making sure that spammers from BallotBox don't push the finer ramblings of Urquhart off the front page; discouraging the cross-posting of c&p crap from insane fringe blogs on various Frays; supporting august in his continued (and valiant) efforts to secure checkmarks for deserving threads -- these are the duties and objectives for the Peacekeeping and Global Perception arm ... that an Ambassador to the UN would need to tend to, correct?

I especially like that there are no arms or even enforcement penalties - but all activities would be done in the name of peace, and harmony, and Global-Can't-We-All-Just-Get-A­longness.
