Why I'm not a Democrat
by Dr H
+1/-1 Reply

Watching the illogical ranting of those few remaining Hillary supporters, and also watching Hillary herself, just reinforces my decision to not join the Democratic Party. They are why I won't label myself and Democrat and risk being in concert with idiots like them.

I support Obama, because I support my country, not because I support some band of irrational political hacks meshed together in a party. It's the same reason why I'm not a Republican for that matter.

Thankfully, the country won a big victory yesterday as the DNC rules committee came to an agreement in favor of equity and reason, although they did cave in to the Clinton campaign's ridiculous position somewhat. They didn't destroy the Obama bid entirely.

Your post was unnecessary. There are no bad reasons not to be a Democrat.

Dr H:

anything unless one becomes a part.

Sure you can stand on the sidelines indepedent of all that takes place; but, it does not make you of any political persuasion. You have just waltzed through the doors after all of the dirty work is done, be it Democrat or Republican, looking with angst upon anyone who has expressed an opinion, and distaining their fervor for their beliefs. It is easy to support anyone after all of the dirty work is done, after all you had nothing to do with the choice, and can stand there as if it was all you. Isn't that what it is really about anyway? . . . you? You do not label one's self, you are or you are nothing.

I are nothing then

the voters of florida and michigan, upon learning that their votes are worth half what those of puerto ricans are, might beg to differ. but then again puerto ricans can only vote in primaries, not in actual elections, so thats a whole 'nother can of worms.

they gave hillary half her delegates because giving her all of them would have meant obama loses.

its manipulation, plain and simple. nothing equitable or reasonable.

no i'm not a hillary supporter, as my posts here will attest

No, it wouldn't have meant that at all. So of course that's not why they did it.

They did it for a much stupider reason. To "punish" MI and FL for their "deliquency", lest "chaos" ensue in subsequent primaries.

What they should have done, obviously, was seat all delegates, as is, including uncommitteds, the result would have been the same, and MAYBE the whining would have subsided.
